We have traveled to the Netherlands at least ten times inn the past 30 years and have stayed at many vacation rentals. The has to be by far the best we have ever stayed at. The grounds are filled with floral type plants and is very beautiful. Our host is just the nicest person, very accommodating. If i have a question or need something he responds immediately and helps me.

Lovely spacious comfortable house with fantastic beds. Friendly welcome. It is cosily decorated with tea lights everywhere, mood lighting, a fireplace in the middle of the pond and in the villa. The villa is wonderfully situated between the trees on the edge of the Drents-Friese Wold. Lots of silence and walking pleasure. Squirrels and many birds in the garden, even in November. We will definitely come back here again.

Very nice and clean holiday home with a fantastic garden ... An ideal place to enjoy the peace and nature. Wake up to cheerful birds chirping, and enjoy breakfast in the nice dining room with a view of the rascals of squirrels that come to peck the nuts on the feeding boards. The fish in the pond also appreciate the food that is ready for them.
Nice gift from the owner on arrival.
The only downside is the tight space next to the beds, but that's not so bad.
The sink in the room was very much appreciated by my mother (86 years old)
We really enjoyed it here; and can definitely recommend this cottage.

What a beautiful place. Peace and space in and around the house. I didn't expect it to be this big. You bring nature into your home through the glass fronts. Sat at the table next to us on the picnic table outside, a cute squirrel who was curious to peek inside. While eating nuts from the birdhouse ... Beautiful surroundings. Enjoy the beautiful garden with various seating areas. And birds that sing all day long ... I love it👌

The house was great, everything more than sufficiently available and very cozy! For me the only downside, when I was smoking outside in the morning a mouse ran right in front of my feet and then disappeared into the platform. For me a reason not to want to be here in the summer because I am panic for mice !

The arrival was immediately good. The owner sat at the pond in the beautiful garden to read, he made a friendly chat, showed us the house and the garden and told us about the area. On the table was a nice bottle of wine. The house has a great atmosphere, if you are having breakfast in the morning you see the roe deer in the distance and in the garden lives a squirrel, There are bikes with which we have made wonderful bike rides, You can make beautiful walks from Wateren and the is also the base for culture in Drenthe, Friesland and Groningen. Friendly welcome by the landlord. Sufficient wood for the fireplace in early May, it is still quite fresh at night. 2 bicycles allow cycling in the area. Nice neighbors facilitate the life of the guest at the Boterpol. The house is well equipped and on the premises there are a number of seating options which makes it possible to sit outside in any weather. We greet Mr. Postma and his wife and wish them all the best for the future.

We have been working for a week yet, but what did we enjoy a wonderful holiday at The BottervieverWhat a great house and an outside stay ....... and that rest! Upon arrival very kindly received by The owner and his wife, after some explanation, where is and how it works, at least very friendly. We were robbed by so many beautiful elements on this holiday destination, even the space that is fantastic there. We were also surprised by the completeness of all kinds of things (from a plaster to a needle and wire, a lot of cutlery) that you need to have a careless holiday. Also the area outside the location a lot of space and the advantage for us was the beautiful weather and we enjoyed the area together with our young dog Sam. The house, the surroundings, the neighbors, but especially the beautifully landscaped garden with this wonderfully landscaped pond a pleasure to look at and the freedom you experience there. We are definitely going to come back next year to enjoy the peace and the birds that gave them a wonderful time for our presence. We have never seen so many tables of spoons forks cups etc. as for vacation destination, what a convenience. We were here from 9 June to 23 June. Joop and Thea Veldhuis-Bruijns.

We were warmly received at this very warm and beautifully decorated home. Even our dog was thought by the set up of a snack and blanket. The house is complete with well-maintained equipment and furniture. He is in the peaceful Wold with friendly roommates. By car, on foot or even with the available bikes there is plenty to see in the area. We would love to go back someday.

Extremely cordial reception by the owner which made us very welcome.Fijn house, very clean, nice couches in the nice seating area and a good bed. The large garden, which gives a lot of privacy, is beautiful and has many sheltered spots to enjoy the outdoors in sunny weather. Everything was there for a nice week. The environment is beautiful, there are good opportunities to walk from the house. Also beautiful bicycle area. Definitely recommended, we hope to come back again.

Very nice and carefully decorated cottage with a beautiful garden in a quiet forest environment. Particularly fun is the little garden with the fire pit we have delicious barbecued. Garden and house were also very suitable for our older dog. Recommended!

This detached bungalow stands on the edge of the Drents-Friese Wold, on a spacious forest plot of no less than 1850 m². Enjoy a drink of your choice on the (covered) terrace or warm up by the cosy fire pit under the arbour! Ideal for lovers of peace, space and nature!
The immediate surroundings are perfect for making beautiful walks and cycling trips. The Drents-Friese Woud nature reserve is home to the largest shifting sands area in the Netherlands with beautiful cycle paths. The Vlinderparadijs (butterfly paradise) and a golf course can be found in the village of Havelte, situated further down. Admire the Hunebedden in Diever, known for the 'Shakespeare' performances, or make a trip to the Zoo in Emmen.
