Wonderfully quiet place. Beautiful nature. Great house, nice people. Very good price/quality ratio.
It was a surprise what our house turned out to be, but it was actually surprisingly good. With a balcony towards the lake and sufficient shelter from trees.
Got fresh baguette every day and the dog enjoyed it too.

The cottage was clean and smelled fresh. However, the bathroom was a bit disappointing. Got a house with a bathroom for handicap, in itself I didn't bother me that much. But there was no place to put your toiletries or even a toothbrush or the like. Only a sink with mirror, a bar and three hooks for a manual to hang. Had a house for 6, garden table was just big enough for 4, but 6 chairs. Inside was a sofa where you can sit with a little luck with 3 .. So cramped if you are there with 6. Beautiful domain, many activities or paying (but was still cava), quiet location. Regrettably, WiFi code is for max 3 people. Shop on domain is quite expensive, but at 15min you have a Spar. Staff in the center domain were lax with corona rules Barely wore a mouth mask and little or no disinfection present. But all in all had a good holiday. You have to drive further to get out. The walk around the lake is definitely recommended (15 km). For the food, Le Bergerie in Liessies is definitely recommended. (15min)

Friendly receptionists who speak English too. Key turned out to be in a vault we had no code. We also did not know of a key safe, we arrived within opening hours. After a bell they came to us and other guests who just arrived to give the keys. The house was fine and spacious for 2 adults and 1 child of 5. Beautifully located in the woods, lots of climbing (109 the mountain climbs up at The cottage to come). Swimming pool and coeur about 1km walk. Lots of fun and varied activities such as pedalos, survival and archery. Very nice! Really suitable for an active outdoor holiday. Staff are friendly and helpful, good service and our broken toilet was immediately made professional. There is still a lot of smokers everywhere. Of all the dogs we had little inconvenience and the grounds were kept clean. Outside the park is nothing to do. Ke is dependent on nice weather otherwise there is little to experience. Close supermarket at 20 km and camp camp was very small and very expensive. So go ahead! Please note that swimming pool shorts are not allowed in the swimming pool. If you do not have a speedo then you can buy it in all sizes in the bath itself. For a week we found it successful!

Arrival between 5 pm and 8 pm is fine. They want to be of great service to you at the reception (a bit outdated). If your command of the French language is limited, it becomes a bit difficult. The English of the French is also limited. You can work it out with your hands and feet. You have to indicate whether you want TV and / or WIFI, and you have to pay a hefty fee for this. The TV only gives French channels, and the Wi-Fi reception can be good or very disappointing. (heard from other guests and as a warning from the staff at the reception) Anyway the WIFI risky, and to our luck have had a reasonably good range. The area is beautiful, but very many stairs and slopes. Very unsuitable for the disabled. The cottage was not too bad. We were lucky to book a cottage suitable for 6 people for our family of 4. As a result, we had two bedrooms and we did not have to use the sofa bed in the living room. To talk about the surroundings: The park is pretty clean, with a nice swimming pool and quite a lot of facilities such as mini golf, archery, craft clubs and a climbing forest. Also on the beautiful lake you can use a kind of aqua park with air cushions etc on the water, canoeing, sailing, pedal boats etc, Unfortunately you are not allowed to swim further in the lake. For all activities you have to pay a small to very large fee. Sometimes with a point system via a top-up card, sometimes in cash. There is entertainment outside the park. There is something to do, but you have to drive for it. The nearest supermarket is about 15 km away.

The cottage is in a holiday park in green surroundings, near a lake. The park has about 180 terraced cottages. Our cottage had "views" of the forest. The cottage is small and basic. The bare essentials are present, but not luxurious. For 4 people, the cottage suitable for 6 people too small. The cabin is noisy and no garden is available. Children can play alone on a balcony, because the front is the main road from the park where the car 's too hard drive. The reception does not look very inviting, but we were welcomed nicely in English. On the rest of the park speak one after english and the other does not. no problem for us, because you'll work it out. Next to the park is a kind of street with restaurants, restaurants, a few shops and pool. In the autumn there was only one restaurant / brasserie open. the pool was fine attract a large pool for laps, a nice children's pool, a slide and a bath with rapids, wave and hot tub. the Valjoly pass (for € 1.50 per cottage) you can free use the zwembad.Valjoly located in a quiet area with "sleeping towns". For entertainment you have a short drive away. the zoo is Maubeuge is fun and the village of Chimay visit to the castle is a must. the natural environment is beautiful and suitable for (forest) walks and mTB tours.Het park is not suitable for disabled people because of the many stairs and steep slopes. Who we recommend this park to people who are looking for peace and nature and settle for a basic cabin. Not suitable for culture and entertainment seekers and those looking for a luxurious house. Particularly you € 5, - per night to pay for television. We have therefore not done. Well wifi purchased for € 20, - per week. Very pricey!

The park is divided into 4 and 1 portion with a dozen homes have beautiful views over the lake, super nice! The rest lies in the forest on the hillside. In the park itself is nothing .... down to the lake is a sort of accommodation / entrepreneurs square where there are a number of restaurants, bar and shops. Also there is a nice indoor and outdoor wave / pool where you as a tenant of a house for 1.50 can go swimming during the holiday. 1.50 which you pay for a valjoly-card which you need to make use of all the activities offered on and around the lake. You can never pay with cash, you buy so "n card where you kind of need to buy points and each activity takes many points. As a tenant of park get off at the points ... It's all public and on a sunny day there are also a lot of day trippers and children / school / camp uitjes.De mountain biking opportunities are SUPER and the routes well with signs aangegeven.Het house, after all, is basic ... in good condition but with us some old and dark all. the narrow beds and bedding includes sheets and a blanket!

Welcome and tremendously helpful. Park enhanced by hints guests. At the park all Super. Small note, dog owners may sometimes make a greater effort to remove poop. The kids like to play in the park anywhere. Outside the park to find heaps of fun.

Nice holiday at the park, with plenty of opportunities for the kids (pedal boats, trampoline, swimming pool (indoor and outdoor), mini golf. House is very basic but satisfying. Unobstructed views of forest, privacy is ok.Leuk for a week!

We were here with four adults over 55, 54, 22 and 21 years. My daughter loved it here, above all, great. She was riding in the woods and along the lake and she has 13 meters in the forest climbed. We have played together a morning mini-golf, a lot of swimming and a nice walk with the dog. The cottage is neat with a covered balcony. In the neighborhood we found no nice towns, but we have been a day trip to Brussels.

How to clean your chaste nice clean floor without subtrahend? For the rest: Top!

Very nice holiday had with our kids 8 and 11. Nice park, lots to do. The surroundings are beautiful but does not offer abundant tourist excursions although Chimay and Maubeuge very nice zijn.Twee dogs along, it was perfect, lots of up and down, we were relative to the central point or the other side of the park. Around and to do it is much more sporty (tree trail, mounatainbike ...) plus a nice zwembad.Aanrader for a peaceful and sporting week.

Beautiful park located in woods above the lake. Hilly. Ideal for walking and resting. Villages nearby are all "sleepers" no terraces, cafe 's and restaurants, especially in pre-season. For this you really so' n 20-30km are down Fourmies or Chimay. The park is a good base for day trips to larger cities such as San Quintin and Arras. We ourselves have also been a few times to the coast (Dunkirk and Boulogne Sur Mer). Had a great trip!

Beautiful, we had a cottage with lakeview, which is highly recommended. We also visited the park where the houses were in the woods, were not so much to not view anything. The cottages themselves were tidy, with plenty of space. Enough English speaking people, and plenty of activities. Free swimming pool.

We had a wonderful week in our cottage overlooking the lake. The weather was great, so that made the water sports very attractive. Electric bicycles take is highly recommended for fine morning bike ride through the beautiful hills. I think I would have so liked the cottages overlooking trees. Very dark for my liking. But another thinks maybe fine. Peddle-boarding is a must.

Beautiful surroundings. Friendly people. The cottages are ok, a little cramped for 6 people. The park is nice and spacious. The patronizing is a bit unfortunate - The more you can not swim. - The pool stays with you only in a tight swimsuit. - On the trampoline, you may not salto "s it.- For the attractions you have to pay through a prepaid card.

The cottage is something basic but well equipped. Not all kitchen utensils were present. Beds were fine and views of the lake is beautiful, but there are also cottages that are situated less and the trees zitten.Voor children of about 7 years, there is plenty to do: pony rides, trampolines, climbing tree (kind adverture connection between the trees), pedal boats and a super pool. Lots of space and greenery. Adequate privacy and no noise.
