Our stay at the Cerfontaine estate was fantastic. The restoration of the chateau has been carried out with great care and respect for its history, so that the charm of the past blends beautifully with modern comfort. It feels authentic and renewed at the same time.

The kitchen is very well equipped, with more than enough fridge space, pots, pans and a good oven - ideal for those who like to cook. Contact with the owner was flawless, and the house offered plenty of space for our group. For us it was a great place to work remotely in peace (good wifi too!).

The surroundings are beautiful, with plenty of hiking opportunities, and the chateau is an ideal base for exploring the region. Highly recommended!

It is a great house with lots of space, beautiful bedrooms with adjacent bathrooms. 2 fully equipped kitchens and a lovely dining and living room. Everything you need for a wonderfully relaxing stay is available, highly recommended. There is a very convenient supermarket a few minutes' drive away. We were helped well by a friendly owner. Very good price-quality ratio. We were like 2 families, a total of 11 people and we had a wonderful time!

It is a terrible house where we live. But then terribly beautiful. Everything you could wish for is present from toilet paper to dishwasher cubes. Whether it concerns things in the kitchen or the washing machine, it is there. Air freshener in the toilet or soap for the washing machine. It is more than a castle from 1050 but decorated with atmosphere and also modern here and there. Especially the kitchen is magnificent oven microwave and steam engine 3 refrigerators and a cooking wall that you would like to have at home. The owner has more than did his best to make it to your liking. And then we haven't talked about the area yet, but you have to experience that as guests yourself .. We will definitely go back here again. SUPER!!! !!!

This is a really special place to stay: a beautifully renovated castle, with a beautiful, large garden. Spacious, bright bedrooms, large bathrooms, kitchen with all necessary appliances and utensils. Recommended!

We made beautiful memories there.
We were 8 adults and 3 babies.
You really feel like you're in a castle.
It is clean and fully equipped.
As it should be in an old castle, not everything is straight, but that is really part of it.
It is also decorated in a castle style.
We spent most of our time in the cozy dining room.
Finally, a very extensive kitchen with all modern conveniences.
The only tip for the owner (who is a very friendly man by the way) is that the dining room chairs really need to be replaced.

Very spacious, clean and well heated house. The house is adjacent to another house, so you are not supposed to make a lot of noise. Owner is very friendly and neighborhood is calm. There is also a lot of beautifull nature around, recommended!

We enjoyed a wonderful family holiday in this historic setting. We stayed here for a week with 10 people in complete comfort. Enjoyed a BBQ in the spacious private garden. The friendly owner is easy to reach and responds quickly to questions/problems.
It is an ideal base for walks and bike rides in the beautiful surroundings with numerous field paths, which we largely had to ourselves. In the same village (Senzeilles), within walking distance of the castle, we rented e-mountain bikes from Belcobike. Also highly recommended.
We will definitely come back here again!

A beautiful historic building with ample parking and a lovely walled garden. Beautifully and quietly situated in a picturesque village where you have a restaurant and café nearby under the church tower. The only downside of the castle: kitchen appliances. No kettle, croque monsieur, toast or mixer available.

The house was neat, spacious, cool, but could improve a number of small things that would make a world of difference. The standard items for a house of 15 people are not all present, kitchen-wise. Not enough glasses, no coffee maker (only Senseo) which makes it not easy for such a large group. Thermos, toaster, croque monsieur machine are not available. The garden is pleasant but in the evening there is no lighting: a good thing that we brought candles. The neighbor comes at 10pm sharp to complain about noise pollution (so you have to flee indoors). The WiFi/TV worked slowly and usually not sufficiently.
The night's sleep was wonderful - no noise problems. The host himself is a charming, sweet man with a good soul and is certainly open to change.
But in short, this holiday home could use an update in 2024 :-)

The chateau was very nice and we had a nice garden at our disposal. However, we had a family with four children above us. This family was very noisy and every word could be heard through the original wooden floors. We were woken up by the noise from this family from 6am.
