Gastronomic Denia:
Start with a visit to the local market "Mercado" on the calle Magallanes, for a tasty traditional breakfast such as the Spaniards "tostada or pan cont tomate" with coffee and fresh fruit juice and discover the atmosphere of the local market with the stalls with Spanish ham, cheese, fish and shellfish.
For a wider choice of breakfast you can go to Fuego or the restaurants on the small harbor.

Espencat, punchero are also worth discovering but a real delicacy is the "red shrimp from Denia" or better "Gamba de Denia" but especially not cheap (can go up to 200 € / kilo).
If you want to eat Tapas you have to go to the most beautiful and famous street of Denia de Calle Loretta, in this nice and historic street you can eat tapas like the Spaniards. You can go to this, nice addresses are Diego, La Seu, Portalet,….
If you want to see the fishing boats enter, you have to go to the harbor around 4 pm. As soon as the fishing boats are unloaded, the catches, sardines, tuna, squid, shrimp, etc. are sold at the auction. You can also visit the fish market every day from 5 pm.
As indicated earlier, there are also a number of famous restaurants such as Quique DaCosta but also Beret de Miquel Ruiz is more than worth it. Call to make a reservation otherwise you will not get in!
Along the sea line and with a view of the sea there are also a number of excellent restaurants to be found such as El Pegoli or Mena, but also in the (large) harbor the Republic and the Agua de Mar are more than worthwhile. Especially in the evenings the view of Denia on the marina is very romantic.
If you want to drink a nice cocktail, the two Zenza bars in Denia are highly recommended, but the cocktails are also delicious in the Jamaica Inn. To end the evening, people can always visit the pleasant terraces of the Plaza Sant Antoni.
