Very nice, well maintained villa. All facilities available, very quiet. Also for our granddaughter of 15 months was all provided bed, bath, toys ... We look back with a very nice feeling on our week in Vinha da Mata, a must !!!

A wonderfully spacious house for families. The house is well equipped. Great beds. Nice nursery. Kitchen is fine for 8 people. The house is completely fenced, which means a lot of privacy. Nice pool. There should have been more sunbeds. (4 present). Large garden with shade, nice playground with safe trampoline. Car is necessary because there is nothing within walking distance of the house. Environment is very quiet. Good restaurant 5 minutes drive. P.S. The outdoor furniture is in need of an upgrade. Sturdy dining table with new chairs.

Beautiful holiday house! Vinha da Mata is a fantastic holiday home and all the comforts. Well-equipped kitchen, cozy dining and living room. Five bedrooms (including a children's room) and three practical bathrooms. The garden, with a fence plunged pool, is beautiful. Good sun loungers by the pool. Our grandchildren enjoyed themselves in the playground. The house is situated on the outskirts of Caldas da Rhainha. Beach is 13 km away. A must visit is Foz do Arelho and the slightly further Nazaré. Lots to see in the area, but staying a day at home is recommended as the accommodation has everything to entertain and unwind. Overall, it is recommended for young and old!

Everything went well, the house is exactly identical to the photos. It is large, practical, very well equipped. The garden is very large and the pool too! We contacted the agency to have the pool cleaned, an agent is came within 36 hours to clean. The only downside is that the water in the pool was cool as the nights are cold and the pool is not covered.

Arrival was smooth, clear instructions regarding the key. The accommodation was fantastic! Beautiful garden, wonderfully spacious house and a fantastic swimming pool. The house is very well, tastefully and comfortably furnished. We were 8 people, three couples, 1 single and 1 child of 2 1/2. There was something for everyone: plenty of toys for indoors and outdoors, games, books, magazines, balls, inflatable animals, badminton rackets, etc. The house is nice and spacious so plenty of privacy for all, several nice sitting areas with comfortable chairs and couches. Wonderful sun beds by the pool and plenty of umbrellas. Super nice! Nice, cozy children's room too! Delicious large kitchen with ample amounts of crockery and cooking tools. In short, we enjoyed super! Highly recommended for families with children and when you don't want to go out very often. Renting a car is a must, just for shopping. Furthermore, plenty of nice things to see in the area if you have no objection to "a car ride! The immediate area around the house is wooded, but unfortunately there are no good hiking trails. The only downside to this beautiful place! PS We found a defective coffee maker Device Called the Agency, very friendly lady The next day the manager came to bring a new device, super nice !!!! The key is in a cupboard by the door, the code we were given to open the cupboard was not correct. After a phone call we received the correct code and we could drive in. Accommodation was fantastic! Clean, spacious, fully furnished and really everything was present! Very nice green area around the villa, beautiful beaches and nice towns nearby

Very nice house with excellent equipment and in very green environment. Close to shopping area and beach while a drive to Lisbon is still very doable. Property manager was very responsive and fixed some minor issues immediately. Would definitely go again!

The arrival was fine, the area spacious and well cared for. The accommodation was very well cared for. The problem was that neighbors were building, every morning from 8 a.m. large trucks with large boulders were unloaded and moved with shovels and vibrators. The house shook on its foundation.

The description is correct. Beautiful spacious house with large garden and swimming pool around it. Good sized bedrooms, okay bathrooms and good kitchen. We didn't have the best weather the first few days, but after that it got very warm. There is plenty to do in the area.

The house is a bit dated but offers everything that was promised by the landlord. The kitchen is functional and equipped with everything you need for a vacation. The terrace of the house enjoys morning sun. In the late afternoon and evening, it is already quite shady at the end of September. In the height of summer, you would probably appreciate that. The pool is very nice, but at this time of year, it is also quite cool. The pool is fenced, but only accessible via a short steep descent. This also applies to the outdoor kitchen, which could be improved. Aside from the nice bedrooms and well-functioning bathrooms, we used the interior of the house little since we were often out and about. The dining and living room makes a good impression. Access was easy via a key safe at the property entrance. We did not hear or see anything from the landlord during the two weeks. The pool was cleaned weekly, and once the gardeners came early in the morning. Caldas da Rainha has many shopping options, and there are many unassuming but very good local restaurants in the area.

The positives are that the villa itself is located in a very nice area where you have a lot of privacy and nature around you. The kitchen is well equipped with all utensils imaginable and various electric appliances. The terrace and living room area are nice to hang-out and relax with a group. We went with younger children and there is separate room with some toys for them to play with which is nice and considerate.
The negatives are that they work with an old heating system combined with a solar boiler. We went 3 days without hot water to shower or wash ourselves. Also the showers could do with a renovation as there is mold and they smell musty. Another problem was that the satellite television was not working (general problem in the area apparently). Finally, the condenser dryer kept giving an error message so we could not dry our cloths. Normally, you"d hang them out in the sun to dry but we were unlucky with the weather.
The caretaker was very responsive and followed-up immediately regarding the issue with the hot water and satellite television. Nevertheless, you"d expect these things are working when you rent a villa.
