This holiday home is located on an estate amid 160 hectares of vineyard, overlooking the Montagne d'Alaric and the peaks of the Pyrenees. It is very suitable for family holidays. The restored farmhouse from the eighteenth century consists of 3 living areas named after grape varieties from the region: Muscat, Grenache and Syrah. The gîte Syrah is occupied by the owner who is present on the property for maintenance and welcoming guests.

The accommodation is part of the Parc Régional du Languedoc nature reserve, 9 km from the Canal du Midi and 2.8 km from the village of Rieux. The nearest airport and train station are 26 and 35 km from the property, respectively.

On the south-west side of the house is a vast terrace divided by a hedge between the 3 accommodations; thus, each accommodation has its own terrace with furniture and barbecue. The swimming pool with jet stream and a separate sun terrace with pool house (shower, toilet and storage room) is for shared use. The gîte Grenache has a spacious area, a sitting area with smart TV, music system and WiFi, its own Bulthaup kitchen and a bathroom with walk-in shower.

Gite Grenache is equipped with AIRCO ( heating and cooling ) i.f.v. consumption with separate meter reading : to be paid on the spot: 1€/kwh.

Welcoming reception, accommodation was top. Clean, with a beautiful design and fantastic kitchen. Perfect condition. Beautiful location with terrace and swimming pool between the vineyards.

We had a fantastic family getaway! The gîte is beautifully restored, and the surroundings are serene with stunning views of the Pyrenees, The kids loved the pool and the garden area, which was perfect for them to play around while we relaxed

We really had a good time in this gte. Fully furnished, impressive restoration of a former farm, with deep thought about almost everything; really nice and neat. Beautiful region and surroundings also a bit. Possible downside: that there are 3 gîtes under 1 roof. If you are staying there (like us) with 2 other families/couples that you don't know, that may cause some reluctance (in terms of privacy).

This place has a rustic charm that perfectly complements the beautiful landscape, We enjoyed exploring the local area and found some great hiking trails, The gîte itself was cozy and comfortable, a true retreat

Very nicely furnished home with fully equipped kitchen, modern and practical. Quiet location among the vineyards with a nice pool. The house sits between two other houses, right attends the concierge and left the other vacationers. We were very lucky with the discrete neighbors. The pool and garden are shared with the other guests. The village is located 2.5km from the house, bakers, restaurant and a small Carrefour are present. There is much to visit in the area by car (Narbonne, Carcassonne, Canal du Midi ...) The major drawback to this house is that there is no air conditioning. We can not sleep some nights the heat. Afterwards we put all the windows open, but it remained hot in the house.

Unknown region from us but has filled us so there are things to discover. The cottage is very modern and very nice! Negatives, TV without English channels (except France 24, TV5 and Arte, on unspecified "ad), the" inventory and house rules only in Dutch, while we are in France ... What a shame this lack "opening" spirit in 2015 ...
