Warm reception with cake and coffee. Tour of the house with convenient explanation sauna e.d.Huis is decorated very spacious and lovely farm atmosphere. The house is nice and heated. The use of the baths, sauna and hottob were delicious. Surroundings are spacious and quiet, a car is necessary for groceries. Because the house is so nice extra "s needed.

Together with our children, grandchildren and two dogs we enjoyed a fantastic Whitsun weekend at the Eekhorst. A warm welcome by hostess and host with delicious homemade cake and jam. The farm offers many opportunities to enjoy yourself both indoors and outdoors. The environment is peaceful and there are many beautiful hiking routes. We had a blast at De Eekhorst! I loved the cozy living area, and the kitchen had everything we needed to whip up our meals, The kids had a great time playing in the garden, plus the sauna was a nice touch for some relaxation, Only thing I’d say is that we could've used a bit more info on nearby attractions, but overall, a fantastic stay! Would recommend it for sure!

The entire complex is dated, especially furniture, inventory, curtains
Lots of mold in certain bathrooms.
Beds also dated, very soft.
1 bath that could not be used.
Wifi was only in one room, the kitchen, as soon as you went to another room the WIFI dropped out.
A television that kept cutting out and at one point the plug started crackling.
Outside fine, many square meters, nice recreation room, good opportunity to cook.
BBQ didn't look that fresh.

The house was OK. Nice bathrooms but older furniture. The promised lbs / swimming / boating did not work out. Boat was drowned and hard to get here to the water Because Of overgrown yard. The ponies did not want the kids to ride on them but were OK to be brushed.The kitchen cupboards were full on with dishes and glasses. There was no room to get some groceries in the cupboards. Must be enough dishes and cutlery there for 100 people. Washer and dryer very small and could not be used at the sametime.

After a warm welcome by John and Esther with homemade cake, we enjoyed a fantastic weekend.De Eekhorst is a wonderful place to spend with family brengen.Met six adults and our two grandchildren, we have an unforgettable weekend gehad.Onze granddaughters 4 and 1.5 year old especially liked the ponies' s geweldig.De Eekhorst offers space enough for everyone, including a separate room with a biljart.Een highly recommended !!! The communication in advance through the mail was bright and prettig.De reception site was very welcoming with a homemade cake. Clear explanation on the ground, sufficient to use the building optimally. For a group of 11 people with young children there is plenty of private rooms with toilet facilities. The area around the house is more than enough. Nearby is opportunity for walking and cycling. In the large pond can be fished by the lovers and rowed. A nice addition. We have spent a nice weekend.

The house was fully equipped, we have great advantage of the hot tub and infrared sauna. As city people had to get used to the farmer stench in the house. Also very nice that there is a washer, dryer and dishwasher were present, as you make good use of 7 adults, 2 teenagers, 2 toddlers and a baby.

We had a wonderful weekend with 8 people. Thank each couple had their own bedroom with private toilet and shower or bath. Cozy living room with fireplace. The recreation room with pool table is separate from the house. Breakfast we have taken care of by the host and hostess. Definitely recommended, recreation room table is covered and the breakfast is extensive and good quality.

Together with children and grandchildren enjoyed the annual gathering. Unfortunately, the weather showed us down and we could enjoy the garden less facilities. The jacuzzi is very well maintained and hygienic thanks to the daily concerns of the hostess.

we were warmly welcomed by our host and - Mr. (The wood for the fireplace was ready as a snack with coffee on arrival.). They want you anywhere you have a lot of help and advice about fun activities in the area. It is a nice place with every room has a private bathroom, shower and toilet. There is a sauna, a Jacuzzi, and a beautiful large garden and beautiful surroundings. especially for small children and animal lovers a must! Because of the weather we have less there to enjoy but we'll be back! ~

What we have z "n 11 and enjoyed the more than comfortable holiday farm of John and Esther, what a space and tranquility! As every year the autumn with the family spent time in the Eekhorst, a fantastic house with beautiful bathrooms in each bedroom, comfortable beds and fully equipped. Owners John and Esther very welcoming and always available for a question. Dogs allowed only if kept on the premises due to stray chickens but that is as safe as garden is fully fenced. The men have made frequent use of the professional game of billiards. Recommended for short stay with family or group. Location is ok not directly to a forest or to a not very busy road.

We have a wonderful family weekend in Eekhorst, the weather was beautiful, there is a pond on site which was great fun for the kids, and 2 ponies' s for our neighborhood were put down. The pool table was at the men in good taste.'s house is spacious, great bathrooms.

We had a weekend at the Eekhorst with a group of friends from 10 personen.De bedrooms all have private bath / shower with eqquiped extra 's really luxe.De farm is very tastefully decorated and fully voorzien.We were hospitably received and have super time gehad.Ook beautiful surroundings, many farms but also forests in the omgeving.Echt a must for when you have multiple people at once wants to gaan.Groetjes Kees, Ineke, Dirk, Corrie, Jan, Cora Louis, Paola, Jack and Tineke.

For the second time a Christmas week spent with family in the Eekhorst. It was again a great success. A very cozy house where you can live without so the idea of u200bu200bhaving something too short to come! De Eekhorst is located in the beautiful Reest valley, in an oasis of peace, space and romance.
Its fine location, cozy furnishings and room for up to 12 guests make this accommodation ideal for a family vacation. A large swimming and fishing pond is available at this attractive residential farmhouse.
The house has a Sauna and a Hot tub which you can enjoy.
The owner stays in the back of the farmhouse.
You sit against the nature reserve. At 500 m walk this begins.
Visit, for example, the storks in De Wijk (8 km), the church Staphorst (13 km) or the town of Meppel (17 km). Also nice is the sheepfold of Ruinen (22 km), near the nature reserve of Dwingelderveld. Amusement park Slagharen is especially worthwhile for smaller vacationers (13 km).
You will find a large living area, an open kitchen and 5 bathrooms. The well-equipped kitchen allows you to prepare your favorite dishes independently, and the elegant garden offers plenty of play space for the children.
