A very friendly owner who welcomes you and gives you a short tour of the house. Very nice detached house with a beautiful covered terrace! Quiet area. Clean. Werningerode is a pleasant town. Supermarket and center about 45 minutes walk. It is doable but we have rented a mountain bike. You can take the city bus for free.

He also speaks English and was flexible. The cottage is fine: CleanPerfect mattressesDecentlyA nice garden terrace at the foot of the hillWeddingerode is 2 km away. The entrance is at a blue sliding gate (we just called him for the key at the front gate) Really it was worth our money, no negatives at all. Well received, friendly landlord. The cottage is beautiful and quiet. Some of the furniture in the photos has been replaced with new ones, such as the sofas in the living room. Comfortable, very clean, and lots of nature around the house. Even the fire salamander seen in the garden!

Upon arrival we are welcomed by a very enthusiastic owner / landlord. The holiday home is accessible via a somewhat steep forest road which in our situation was pretty slippery due to frozen snow, but fortunately it was made sluggish so we could easily get to the house by car. The holiday home is well and completely furnished, especially when it comes to two guests go. Wernigerode is a nice place with plenty to see, especially the narrow gauge railway to the Brocken

We were welcomed very warmly by Herr Gand on arrival. Nice man who told what was needed; no more, no less, nice! (but always nearby if there would be something) The cottage was completely fine and was well cared for. The bed and the shower were both very good. The garden, which lies against a forest, was fantastic green and very quiet. It really was totally unwinding. You don't notice anything of the city with all its tourists, while it is a short 5-minute drive to the center. It is a nice base for all kinds of trips in the area.

In short:- you have sufficient privacy; the house is on the outside of the village. - the house is clean and everything is there. - beautiful garden and immediate surroundings. - it was quiet on working days; at the weekend we had significant noise nuisance (party) from the neighbors who were a little further on Friday evening. According to the landlord, this had never happened before. - Tip > if you don't like synthetic bedding, bring your own.

Owner was not present, got key from neighbor, owner would come by "evening or the day after for explanation. Not been. Not even last day / tomorrow. Keys with tourist surcharge and cleaning costs thrown in the letterbox. Dishwasher was broken, oven door closed niet.Wel neat and clean.Beautiful garden, but was so full that you could not sit in.Was canopy, but when the weather is nice I want to sit in the sun, that's why I always choose a house with garden.Tip; Wernigerode , Quedlinburg and Goslar beautiful places to visit.

Honest and objective, that is what tenant and landlord benefit most from. The house is located in a beautiful spot and offers sufficient privacy. To get there you have to open two gates manually. Not fun when it's raining because you really have to get out of the car. The second gate must be closed with a chain and padlock, this takes time and is completely unnecessary with a small investment and no fun in bad weather. We experience the house itself as reasonable. No more and no less. Many things are not perfect or defective. Each problem alone is not a reason for complaints, but everything together... As a landlord, I would wonder whether it is time to replace defective things. An oven door that remains open, causing the control knobs to become very hot (be careful!). Shelf in shower has been "repaired" with adhesive tape and falls down as soon as you put something on it. A dishwasher with instructions because the control knob is broken. Pedal bin that can only be opened by hand because it is broken, etc. etc. Furthermore, a lot of mold in the joints of the shower and you will find clouds of dust everywhere, and moreover, there is a spider in every corner. In other words the cleaning could be more serious. Why an enormous (discarded) 3-piece sofa has been crammed into the small living room is a mystery to us, after all, it is a two-person house. As said, no major problems but everything together... To end on a positive note; the WiFi (WLAN) is very good, streaming a movie is fine.

The first impression of the cabin was not great. A bit tucked away in the house of the owner. But it was fine, on the edge of the forest, lots of birds and a few squirrels. Lovely to sit outside. And that was really hide it. Furthermore, the house looked just fine, a new bathroom and excellent bedding. The second day was given a container with cherries, as picked by the owner of the tree and very tasty. Wernigerode Situated on the edge of the Harz. A beautiful area with wonderful towns, only fell back against. Still had a great week.

In a carefully restored house (very well insulated), we have a great spring break gehad.De owners are gastvrij.De bedroom was OK, the bathroom is quite good and spacious, the living room is well furnished, although the bed not ideal zit.Doordat is home to a forest, it is very pleasant to sit outside. In our period (early May), the sun came out well bij.Volgens the owner you can see deer and wild boar from the house at dusk. That does not happen to us. But we have twice the fire salamander (a protected species) seen in tuin.Om to get the house you have to climb a bit steep path.
