The house with its idyllic location right on the edge of the forest and field was the ideal location for our short trip with friends to the Sauerland. The lounges on the ground floor are very comfortably furnished and invite you to linger. A highlight here in particular was the fireplace, in front of which we often made ourselves comfortable in bad weather. We felt just as comfortable at the large table in the dining room, where we could eat and play games with 12 people without any problems. The kitchen is modern and equipped with everything you need. At least nothing was missing. The bedrooms, which are more functionally furnished, are located on the first floor. However, we could sleep well on the comfortable mattresses. Only the garden looked a bit neglected on the gray autumn days. It has to be said that the gardening season was already over during our stay and we didn't really use the garden. However, I can imagine that in summer you can make yourself very comfortable there with the appropriate equipment. Embedded in nature, the location of the house invites you to go hiking. A hiking trail starts at the house, on which you can discover the wooded and hilly landscape of the beautiful Sauerland. Despite the location close to nature, various smaller shops for daily needs (bakery, butcher's shop, snack bar) or even attractions such as a go-kart track are just around the corner from the house. The center of Winterberg can be reached in 10 minutes by car and the house has more than lived up to our requirements. Just like the price-performance ratio, which was absolutely right. We would definitely recommend the house to others. We would recommend the house

We had a lovely family holiday here, The private terrace was great for evening barbecues, and the children enjoyed sledding in the meadow nearby, The hosts were friendly and made us feel right at home, A great base for exploring the area!

A peaceful retreat! The location was quiet and surrounded by nature, The bedrooms were comfortable, and we appreciated having multiple bathrooms for our large group, The skiing options nearby were excellent, and we can't wait to return next winter

House is a bit hard to find Nice house in a green environment. Many walks possible. Bathroom could be more spacious compared to 12 people Too bad that the overflowing garbage bins of previous holidaymakers remained standing in front of the house for a few days, which causes odor nuisance.

The house from afar is nice, but as soon as you get closer, you see a neglected and carelessly treated domicile. Much is / was defective (trampoline, stairs, brooms, dishes, etc.), the mattresses are in a really disgusting and laid out State, cobwebs and dead insects were hanging on the ceiling. The furniture was "somehow" in the house, just like the last visitors had left it. Lampshades are defective and somehow "repaired" with tape. The kitchen was very dirty and greasy, and the showers were poorly cleaned. The advertised seating area is covered with old, rotten wood chips as a floor covering that has been washed away by the heavy rain - so everything is very muddy and you constantly drag all the dirt into the kitchen. In the garden were rubbish, beer bottles, crown caps, ammunition, rubbish and old Christmas trees. In order to be able to keep the house a bit clean during visiting hours, one had a poorly sucking vacuum cleaner, a tiny mop and old matted or broken brooms. We used the first day of vacation to clean and clean everything (from the kitchen, bathroom, ceilings and floors, as well as all rooms). We got mattress protectors for all 10 beds and bought the necessary cleaning tools and products ourselves. We cleared the garden as much as possible, repaired the stairs, i.e. screwed on a rotten stair step again and reinforced the entire staircase with extra wooden strips. Doorknobs had to be tightened and daring power cable installations with multiple junction boxes removed. With 7 children with you, you don't just break off a vacation. Unfortunately, the caretaker shifted responsibility to the owners, who were not available to us. However, she did not find the defects complained of as serious either. It was not very clean and well-kept, e.g. the balcony and the beer tent set there, the wooden steps from the kitchen to the garden were partly loose and the trampoline for the children was broken and therefore not usable.
