It is a very pleasant place actually in the middle of nature. The house has been authentically restored and neatly furnished. It was nice and clean and everything was sufficient. The friendly owner gave us a clear explanation during the tour. This explanation is not without reason if you want to have a pleasant stay.

The holiday home is beautifully situated in a rural area with forests in the immediate vicinity. The house is spacious, clean and well maintained and has a very pleasant appearance. In front of the house is a large, tree-lined lawn with some trees. The owner lives nearby and is very helpful and friendly, but keeps his distance to respect privacy.

A wonderful week in France behind us! Despite the fact that the weather was not quite good, we had a wonderful week in chapelle-aux bois. The house was fantastic unfortunately the TV had no Dutch channels and the bathroom could use a small update. But otherwise it was great. A cozy kitchen, a more than spacious living room with a lovely wood stove, 2 good chairs and a nice sofa, upstairs two very spacious rooms with large closets where you can store your clothes. There was even an ironing board with an iron in a cupboard. Then there was an open space with another bed for a person. There was also a cot and a high chair for the little ones among us. Outside a beautiful spacious private garden that was completely enclosed by a fence and trees. Where all day long singing birds were around you and now and then a squirrel came by to gnaw a pinecone. And in front of the car there was a carport where the necessary good garden chairs and tables were stored. The area is beautiful, there are 5 different routes from the house to go hiking, and as a base for day trips you are also great! And finally the owner of the house, he was very helpful and did his best to make himself understood in English for ons.Kortom really recommended this house!

We were warmly welcomed by the very friendly owner, who gave an extensive tour in a combination of French and English. The accommodation is fully equipped. A terrace with garden furniture is available, and behind it is a large lawn for frisbee, badminton, and so on. The area is ideal for walking. Many hiking trails have been set out in the Vosges. Some of them run directly past the property.

Lovely house, even in the winter. Nice big fireplace in the living room with 2 lovely armchairs. We have great fun. In the kitchen, next to the gas stove (on which is cooked) an old-fashioned wood-fired large oven, which provides a cozy warmth. Wood is for sale at the owner and he is not childish with it. Furthermore, wonderfully walked in the area. A number of hiking trails have been set out directly from the house. Furthermore, the house is clean and fully equipped. In short, a must.

What a gem! We had a wonderful vacation in this lovely house. We were there for two weeks with three children aged 9, 6, and 1.5. The house dates back to 1813 and has a lot of character. It is kept very clean and is equipped with all conveniences. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful. Upon arrival, cookies were ready, and juice and beer were cold. You receive a tour and good instructions about the house. Thanks to these instructions, the stay was very pleasant, especially regarding the climate in the house. We had a week of temperatures of 36 degrees but were able to keep the house wonderfully cool inside, without air conditioning. The garden is fantastic. We enjoyed it so much! A little paradise for yourself. The surroundings are just as beautiful. We made many small trips, visited beautiful places, and enjoyed nature and the villages. Our tips for small excursions: - walk through Plombieres les Bains. Fascinating how the grandeur of the past has completely decayed - glassblowing workshop in Rochere - candy factory in Darney - miniature park in Plombieres - Ferme Aventure for children - Ecomusee du pays de la cerise - Epinal (castle + park, Chaptire museum, and church) - walk to source du Planey - Automobile museum in Mulhouse (a bit further to drive but very nice)

The house is located in the countryside and is fully equipped with a stove, refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, and washing machine. There is also a wood stove and electric heaters. The bedrooms are large and have shutters. It is a former farmhouse from 1813 with thick walls, which keeps it cool inside. In front of the farmhouse, you can place garden chairs everywhere, and there is also a large garden. There is wifi and a TV with French and German channels. The friendly owner lives next door and provides a thorough introduction in French or English. After that, you hardly notice the neighbors. Nearby, there is a large and well-stocked supermarket. There are various attractions in the area, with plenty of nature and old towns. We had a very nice holiday here for two weeks.

I really enjoyed my stay here, The living room was spacious, and after a long day of exploring, relaxing in the bathtub was just what I needed, The kitchen had all the essentials, and we cooked a few meals together, Location was nice, quiet but still close to restaurants, Definitely recommend!

It is a lovely house, fully equipped. It is not very large, the third bedroom is a room adjacent to the stairs (loft), and therefore quickly suffers from light from below. The beds are excellent. No Dutch television, but we didn't miss that either. The kitchen is a bit tight, little countertop, but with plenty of crockery, pans, cutlery, etc. What was disappointing was that many restaurants (and shops) in the area were closed or no longer existed, or were only open for lunch. Perhaps because of French Corona measures?

Upon arrival the owner came out immediately. He lives behind the house, but has his own entrance and you hardly see him further. We were received very friendly and were given a tour of the house of about 45 minutes. The house is a somewhat old house with thick walls, nice and cool in the summer. There are many authentic details, such as a stone countertop, a large stove (that is only used in winter) and a large fireplace in the room. Furthermore, the house does have all modern things such as a microwave, oven, dishwasher, washing machine and good wifi. The television has unfortunately no Dutch channels. It is very cozy, the owners have put a lot of creativity in. The area is hilly, wooded and all kinds of nice little places. Also many lakes in the area. A bit remote, the first big city Epinel is about 29 km away.

Enjoyed the house, backyard and garden. Excellent base for walking in the area. Supermarket, gas station and post office around the corner. A warm welcome and surprised with something delicious! The house is fully equipped and homely furnished, you immediately feel at home.

Very friendly received by the owner with cookies and bottle of beer! Nice and cool house, a bit dark. But we were still outside a lot because of the nice weather. Quiet area, ideal for walking. Owner lives other part of the house (garage between both living areas). But actually nothing heard. Owner speaks some English. Large garden with enough shade spots.

We were very kindly received. The house is comfortable and originally decorated! Beautiful surroundings alternate, forests, river valleys, meadows and fields. We also enjoyed the channel with the activities around the numerous locks.

We had a lovely time at the holiday home near Chapelle-Aux-Bois! Beautifully situated character house close to small, very quiet road. Huge spacious yard that all guests have for themselves. Interior is fine. Host and hostess are, as already indicated in description, indeed weekdays absent. Lovely surroundings with plenty of walking but there is also plenty to see, if you make a little day trip by car.

The cottage is well equipped, heating very clean and well (central electric and wood stove). The beds are fine. One major drawback is that the sleeping floor above and the toilet is below. So that's stairs in the middle of the night for a sanitary stop. In addition, the toilet door catch glimpses and there is little privacy in this area. But that's the only thing we was disappointing.
