If you want to visit the old town of Lagos, it is best to park your car on Avenida dos Descobrimentos. There is plenty of parking here and you can walk to the sights. Activities nearby : Lagos Zoo (Parque Zoológico de Lagos) is about 12 km northeast of the city near the village of Barão de São João. The best way to explore the city itself is on foot. Stroll through the shops and taste local specialties in the bars and restaurants. And visit the city's marina. There are also two golf courses nearby.
