Cortona, about 20 kilometers away, is worth a visit. This city is situated on top of a hill and is one of the oldest cities in Italy - it is truly amazing. For shopaholics, there are outlet shops in Foiano della Chiana, 9 kilometers from the house._x000D_

Lake Trasimeno is 25 km away and is worth a visit. In addition, cities like Arezzo (30 km), Siena (50 km), and Perugia (65 km) are highly recommended for a fun day out._x000D_

On our arrival we were received very warmly and kindly by the owners. The owners don't speak English very well, but there is a girl working who is fluent in English and is there at certain times. I can only say that this warm welcome lasted a whole holiday, they were always ready to help if possible, to pamper you with goodies twice a week. The cottage was immaculate on arrival and now in the Corona time they had divided the garden by the pool into pieces so that everyone had their own piece of garden with disinfected lounge chairs for sunbathing. From the cottage you had a beautiful view to enjoy, the roof at the cottage gave you enough shade to eat outside at any time of the day. It was an ideal base to visit various beautiful cities and villages (even Rome was doable). We have had a wonderful, pleasant holiday. I had the feeling of coming home to family, I would say do not be put off by some less good reviews, that was really not too bothered what they have been raving about.

On arrival we were immediately greeted by a nice English speaking lady and led to our apartment. The apartment was exactly as shown in the photos had been described, cozy and clean. The whole area was very neat and clean and the owner / landlord are very friendly and have us properly serves its own wine, olive oil, homemade as pizzas and cakes. All in all a great holiday for all, children, parents and we would have brought him the dog.

The accommodation was well maintained and surrounded by beautiful gardens with olive trees, herbs and flowers. The house was furnished in Tuscan style and equipped with all necessary. Even though the bathroom and kitchen were very small, it did not bother us, since we sat most of the time at the great pool and in the evening on the large covered terrace with stunning views. But all this was topped by the incredible hospitality of the landlord family! Two times a week was baked for us (very delicious pizza and pastries), we got vegetables from our own cultivation and self-made wine to welcome. For our little son was not only their own garden to play, but also the children's pool and all the animals on the farm a highlight. Nearby are Arezzo and Lucignano as particularly beautiful destinations, as well as Siena, recommended. The entire area is located a few kilometers outside the village of Foiano della Chiana and is very quiet. It was a wonderfully relaxing holiday for us and we will definitely be back! Thanks again to the family.

The arrival was well looked after. An English-speaking lady takes care of this for the owner. The accommodation itself is not very small, but because of the moderate comfort this feels so. You can not sit in the sun in the sun, there are no nice chairs. Directly next to the garden is the bushpit which regularly gives rise to stenching. PLUS PUNTS reception in English, very nice owners, 2x homemade cake of the house, many nice villages at short distance - centrally located if you want to see much of the area MINIMUM low comfort kitchen no dishwasher, no worktop to prepare food, extremely tight Kitchen block, outside the refrigerator, no place for storing or dropping of food, no (art) light as the sink is too tight to wash with 2 men or whatever in the kitchen. We made it while preparing breakfast and having a snack. In comfort no proper closet space, In both bedrooms a total of 6! Hangunits, but only 8 clothes hangers ..... Lockers limited and drawers did not run. No comfy chairs, only the dining chairs inside were good. For the rest, only small metal chairs outside and 2 camping / folding / rocking chairs, more suitable for children. No air conditioning (we knew of course) but also no fan. Swimming pool The sun loungers by the pool look fantastic but are not really nice either. Very much chlorine in the water. Information folder addresses of supermarkets did not match all 4, this resulted in a search of over 2 hours and a quarter of a tank of wasted gasoline. Recommended pizzeria had beautiful views but was far from good and also expensive. Businesses that could be prevented and cleaned properly Upon arrival, the toilet-operated barrier barely worked, the shower tray did not drain and clamped the bathroom door. This was fixed by the owner within 24 hours. The power fell out halfway through the holiday, which was rectified immediately

The cottage is beautifully situated and from the private terrace you have a beautiful view. The pool and surrounding gardens are well maintained and perfectly maintained. Very hospitable owners our weekly spoiled with homemade pizza and cake. Also very well located (near the highway) to visit cities. Short on top and a must!

We have just returned from Portico Del Tasso Foiano della Chiana, Tuscany, Italy. Was top holiday. The location was good, the Apartamente were really super with large teraas and moije views. Because wax and rainy few days and sunshine we could very well enjoy the teraas and in the regin and in the sun. People owners were really very nice people italianse family. They have to us every time what brought goodies and picas and gebaak bread and wine. Really lovely lovely people that.I have enjoyed my fourth daughter too. She was really super fun.We come zekker again terug.Laura

The house and the hosts were just great !!! Very welcoming and helpful people. A beautiful house in a beautiful setting.We really genoten.Een recommended for old and jong.We hope soon again to come back no large swimming pool with sun loungers fine ... Now still the sun and it was totally appropriate volmaakt.Ook to much to see in the area

Agriturismo Cisternella is situated in absolute tranquility of the hilly countryside of Tuscany. Its strategic position make easy to reach in a short time some of the most important art cities in the center of Italy (Arezzo, Siena, Perugia, Cortona, Pienza, Montepulciano and Florence), the Trasimeno lake (Castiglione del Lago and the Maggiore island little known but very charming) and also the sea of the Tyrrhenian coast is an hour and a half drive. For those who want to shop, we recommend the Outlet Village Valdichiana (with more than eighty shops) in 5 min drive, and at about 40 km the outlets "The mall" and "Space". Every Monday, in the streets of the center of Foiano della Chiana take place the weekly market, where over purchases of all kinds can enjoy typical products of the place. Moreover, in the local museum and in some churches it is possible to admire the sculptures from Della Robbia family realized in the Renaissance period. During your stay at the Agriturismo, the owner are pleased to offer to its guests a selection of products made with ancient grains flour grown and produced by the same farm (products that may be purchased on site).
