A beautiful house with all amenities. The squirrels walked on the terrace. Very quiet and next to the forest edge. To go for a walk you can grab the grass road next to the house to make a wonderful walk. Then take a dip in the swimming pool again.

We had such a great time here! The kids loved the garden and the play area, I spent my mornings by the private pool, which was heated and just lovely, Everything we needed was in the kitchen, The location was nice, close to Thiviers, and there’s a cute little supermarket nearby, Definitely coming back next summer!

A very spacious house with all facilities. Especially the rest is very pleasant, it is located in a side lane where hardly any cars come. Yet you are 3 minutes in a supermarket and 5 minutes in a good restaurant.

with 225 euros cleaning costs you expect a very clean house. Unfortunately this was not the case. The kitchen was not clean. On arrival first have to clean yourself properly, including lots of crockery. Also many things from previous tenants (or from owner?) such as opened bottles of olive oil, herbs, tea, etc. Also in the freezer section of the refrigerator, food from others. The windows of the house were dirty and garden poorly maintained. Garden furniture was not clean and almost all broken. Slide broken and shed shed collapsed. Under the trampoline looked like a place to dump waste (cloths, boards, etc.). We have rented houses more often through Belvilla and have never had any complaints before. Very unfortunate, as we were there to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary with our children.

Tip from the houseowner

Attractions: You are in the Perigord Vert Region so named because of the greenery of the forests and meadows. Thiviers is known as the capital of Foie Gras, a delicious speciality of the region and not to be missed. A Regional highlight is the beautiful town of Brantome (27km) and its Benedictine abbey, built by Charlemagne in 769. Here you can hire a canoe (book in advance) and enjoy this lovely stretch of the river. There is a busy outdoor market on Fridays. Near to Brantome is the "most beautiful village" of St-Jean-de Cole and also the attractive village of Bourdeilles. Nearby Chateaux include the Chateau de Jumilhac, the Chateau de Bourdeilles, and Chateau de Puyguilhem. On the outskirts of Perigueux at TrÃ©lissac (29km) there are Hypermarkets (eg. LeClerc) and shopping precincts. Then there is Perigueux itself, with its large stores and boutiques and not forgetting the delightful old town with it's beautiful cathedral. A little further, 75km, is the amazing village of Aubeterre sur Dronne which has a church hewn out of rock (excavations began in the fifth century) and is counted amongst the "most beautiful villages" in France.
