Very nice environment, but remote, beautiful house. Easy to find. Hygiene super, nothing to complain about! It is good that there is a swimming pool, the river does not invite you to swim in (green water due to algae formation). It is a pity that the lighting did not work, otherwise we would definitely go swimming in the evening. A small minus we found the pillows of the beds, which are really in need of replacement. But otherwise no comments, the house is fine and very pleasant to stay in! A big recommendation!

Beautiful house on the river Dão. Large living room and bedrooms, spacious kitchen. View over the river and wooded hills is magnificent. Big terrace. The river is actually a reservoir. Beautiful environment, but suffered under the forest fires in 2017. Again a lot of new growth (especially eucalyptus for the paper industry oak forests have suffered less). Now a lot of algae probably because of the extra supply of nutrients through the fire. Many birds of prey (Wouwen), beautiful face. Very friendly reception by the manager (speaks better French than English). She drove us to show location of supermarkets and restaurants. Swimming pool ("infinity pool") on the river was flooded (due to varying level of reservoir) and not yet clean. This has been done 3 days after arrival. Kitchen and sanitary ware were clean. Here and there in the corners, picking dust. There was a dirty smell in the kitchen. After extensive search this turned out to be caused by a condensation tray on the back of the refrigerator. In it dirty rotting sludge. We have cleaned something ourselves. Cost a few hours. Allowance by owner in the form of a fine bottle of wine. We have made many trips. The University Library of Coimbra is very beautiful, large spaces with gilded carvings. Tomar is also worth the trip Convento de Christo is on the Unesco World Heritage List. Buçaco has a beautiful park with thousands of trees of 100 and different species. Built by monks since the 12th century. The Fonte Fria (cold source) with terraces almost 200 steps down. Superb.

The cottage is not easy to find, but once found, it looked promising. Beautiful spacious house, each room equipped with a bathroom and the beautiful location on the Dao. Unfortunately, some dents got that impression. We were there with 4 adults and 1 child of less than 2 years old. So we had asked for a cot, but even spot it could not, because our contacts needed it myself. Luckily we had provided us with a travel cot compete nemen.Voorts was faulty microwave and stayed the shower at the pool constantly open. These were small negatives, but not a disaster. The fly screens need to be replaced. This was ambetanter for us as our vacation was over. (Read more in comments). Furthermore, hygiene and cleanliness the most important thing for us as our son everything in his mouth steekt.Zo we soon realized that the house was not so clean ... it started with a lot of cobwebs, we began to notice the mice sties and this quantity could not possibly be placed on one or two days time. Also the pool was not cleaned. Only on the day of our departure, there is someone above langsgekomen.De housekeeping left so much to be desired. But hey we brush

Beautiful home with lots of space on schitterrende location surrounded by nature. Situated on the river afterwards dao about 10 km from supermarket and resaturant. "The evening after the restaurant visit on desmalle dark way back to the house is an experience but requires a lot of energy. Bicycles on pedestrian path along the river, about 45 km long. Car is a must and thus to make. Treks in the area Food 4 persons incl forehead-dessert, coffee and beer or wine was possible for 24 euros total. villages on terraces in a beer costs 0.75 cents to 0.85 and a glass of wine 0.30 to 0.50 cent Diesel costs about as expensive as ours. highly recommended for those who love nature and tranquility September 7 to September 21, 2013 french-elly-hans annemie

Quinta Do Fim is an oasis of tranquility with fantastic views over the River Dao.Het house is fine, good bedrooms and bathrooms. Windows horren.Er are two lesser points 1, there is no washing machine in the village, but you can make it do you. Laundry 2 the pool was unusable due ws a little too high water level of the river. And this was a shame because the picture on the website is fantastic.

Quinta do Fim is a very peaceful place right on the river. On all sides you see the water and nature (rocks in and near the water, forest) as you walk in your house. Stroll along the waterfront, so from the house is a delightful experience. Mountainous area is less than an hour bereiken.De coast over an hour. The area (Dão) is famous for its wine. Definitely taste! Good and cheap food can be much plekken.Onontdekt piece of Portugal.

The house is great, with good facilities, plenty of space, very bright and a big terrace. The riverside location is unique and the pool, filled with river water with us, good for cooling. The location allows for a drive up to an hour by car many excursions. We enjoyed the 2 weeks very much.
