Own house near a castle in a beautiful and wonderfully quiet area. Host and hostess are very friendly and helpful. Gite is clean but a bit outdated and lacks some things that would improve your stay, such as kettle, fan, new pan(s), teapot and drying rack for the laundry. Despite the somewhat remote location, there is plenty to see and visit in the area. Large supermarket, bakery etc in the next village at about 6 km. Recommended is the canoe trip from Chateau /s Allier to Apremont. Our overall stay was "good" but in terms of comfort the rating "fair" applies.
