We were very friendly / hospitable and were happily surprised by the nice cottages certainly by the beautiful view !!! Perfect accommodation for 2 people (and in our fallen dog). From the cottage you can walk directly with the dog and swimming water at 5 min drive. The cottage is somewhat remote and therefore very quiet. It is necessary to spend some time watching the beautiful towns.

Charming cottage with spacious garden in wonderfully quiet area. The furnishing of the kitchen in particular is simply basic, as stated in the description. For us and our dog this was a lovely place to enjoy the peace and the view in the garden.

Cottage in the Dordogne offers plenty of privacy and is spacious enough for 2 people. Although it was 32 to 37 degrees during our week in the Dordogne, the house can be kept relatively cool. Reception by fam. Schrama is warm. The tranquility is overwhelming.

Very nice and quiet cottage, provided with all basic comfort (to Belgian or Dutch standards) .Very lovely owner who is responsive and welcoming but at the same time respects your privacy.We enjoyed a visit to the old paper mill and the remains of a blast furnace in the village near by. For other trips, you must count on further moves. If you do not mind driving 50 km further, you can see beautiful and very diverse things, both in Perigord and Limousin.

Super nice location with beautiful views over the meadows. Sweet nice villages in the typical French style. The accommodation was complete. A washing machine itself which is handy if you continue on vacation. Nice owner and facilities nearby.

The location is fairly easy to find via the current route planners. The cottage is in a beautiful and relaxing environment, around a beautiful and wide view. The Dutch owner lives right next door and is very pleasant to deal with. He has plenty of tips for activities in the region. Occasionally you will be surprised with a few fresh eggs from the house chicken and with delicious homemade jams.

Let's start with the view of this accommodation, it is beautiful, from the garden you can look into the meadows. So in good weather you can enjoy this. So also the birds and nature. Unfortunately the house is not watertight. We have had rain up to 2 times. The first time, after a rain shower, half the floor was white, and after a storm the whole house was flooded, the water came down through the ceiling beams and we had to shine all night, this was a damper on the holiday. Luckily we had dry weather for the last few days and we were able to sit in the garden. Some points of interest for the next visitors The garden is not completely fenced, part is only trimmed with 2 iron wires The house is right on a polder road. busy but the traffic passing by here rushes past the house at 80 km per hour The garden does not offer 100% privacy, it contains the owner's shed where work is being done / pruned and on the right side you look at a shared entrance. The cottage itself is basic, living and sleeping area are located in the same room, there is a washing machine, for sights you have to drive quite a distance, the nature in the area is beautiful. r markets present at a short distance by car.

peace, quiet walk from the cottage is top notch, the owner is friendly and helpful, but do completely rust.we have greatly enjoyed this holiday at this location with our quadruped which here is welcome. the view is amazing space around you is huge big, you basically rent a small estate. the beds are very good, cozy wood stove is calculated and two lounge chairs sit perfect.een spacious bathroom equipped with a shower, toilet, washbasin and a wasmachine.als feature is the outdoor oven for baking bread or pizza get a mention waard.hier we certainly again

This cottage is highly recommended. Stunning views, peace, squirrels in the garden, beautiful towns in the area such as Uzerche, Brive and Segur le Chateau. The owner lives 50 m away but gives enough privacie making this is no problem. They also give tips for trips, eg if you do happen to come across that are fine. The cottage is very confortable with great beds, a good shower, nice garden chairs etc.

The cottage itself has a nice view of the valley behind. The neighborhood is nice and rustig.Houdt in mind that visits to surrounding towns (Sarlat for example) have to be driven to an hour. But these cities are worth a visit.

We had a wonderful holiday. The terrace of the house offers fantastic views. The owners are very friendly, welcoming and helpful without being obtrusive. There is an enormous amount of rest at the house and nearby. The beds are very good, so whoever comes here for his rest here.

For my husband and I this was the first time we have booked a house through you, and stayed in the Dordogne. What a great experience has been that. Our cottage was cozy, but fully equipped. The location of the cottage and the views were fantastic. You looked so over the fields and saw the cows walk. It was wonderfully quiet and the only sound you could hear were the cows. "At night, you saw a beautiful starry sky and there it was quiet. An ideal place to relax and enjoy the nature. The owners were very welcoming and told us some nice places were to visit. Beautifully located house with spectacular views from the terrace, where breakfast can be very relaxed. It is quite a large plot with this, so you can lay in the shade or the sun is always somewhere, depending on his condition (assuming of course the sun is shining) On the other side of the house is pretty close to a road but not very is busy. We enjoyed it anyway not disturbed. The house has everything you need and is comfortably furnished. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Overall, therefore, highly recommended!

We rented this house for friends in the area to visit. It was nice to stay in this comfortable lodging, where we were welcomed by the very friendly host and hostess. Lovely quiet setting and a perfect base for all the nice places in the area. we have nice wavy in a serious 9 hole golf course in Excidueuil and enjoyed all the nice restaurants in the small villages around. Foie gras is difficult to avoid, but that's okay when you're in love ;-) Wifi available!

Tranquility, convenience, privacy, nature, little touristy, fun environment, markets, shops. Ideal to really get away from it all go "in the middle of nowhere". Dutch owner is very helpful, but do enjoy while you go ahead. Accommodation is neat, clean, simple but fully equipped. Good bed, big bathroom. Even for our 13 week old daughter was the box from the attic.

Eat very well (and copiously) at La Forge the family run restaurant in Savignac Ledrier (1.5 kn) or for gourmet dining as well as barbecue nights try the 17th century Domaine d'Essendieras (10km).
See how iron used to be made in a fascinating new tour at the Forge of Savignac, France's last working iron forge, once owned by the inhabitants of the chateau. It is also a beautiful spot for a picnic.
Don't miss an afternoon boating, swimming and sunbathing at Rouffiac Lake ( 12km) or try the water ski facilities. There is also a excellent restaurant here with home made produce cooked by the owners.
The Office de Tourisme in Payzac or Lanouaille will tell you about farm visits in summer. Walk the well signposted and very safe Auvezere River circuit. Make sure you spend a day canoeing down the spectacular Vezere river from Le Chateau de Loches to Ls Eyzies (6, 12 or 24 kms) with a stop off for lunch or a picnic in one of the officially listed 'most beautiful villages of France' at St Leon de Vezere.
