Tijdens de jaarwisseling 2023-2024 een week in deze woning verbleven. De communicatie was voortreffelijk en kon via mail in het Engels. Voor onze aankomst werd al de vraag gesteld of wij gebruik wilden maken van de Hottub dan zou deze klaarstaan maar hier hebben wij geen gebruik van gemaakt.
Verder is werkelijk alles aanwezig wat wij nodig hadden, over de bedden hebben wij niets te klagen, WiFi was perfect en snel, streamen via mijn eigen laptop ging voortreffelijk.
De keuken en badkamer waren perfect en van alle gemakken voorzien.
Alle lof voor de eigenaar !!

Highly recommended!Modern furnished house, just new (25-7-2022). Not mentioned in the description, but the house also has a washing machine, oven and large flat screen incl. Netflix. The bathroom with rain shower is also very nice. Together with the microwave, large fridge / refrigerator, dishwasher and large jacuzzi, it lacks nothing. Owner is nice. We missed a trash can and drying rack and that was delivered the next day. The garden needs some decoration, but all in all you really get value for money. Use the house as a base to discover Normandy. We had bicycles with us and have ridden beautiful cycling routes. Along the coast and inland. On Komoot you will find a number of them. Omaha beach is within walking distance. Enough restaurants and bars in the area. And of course everything to see and experience with regard to d-day.We, in our mid 50s and the two of us, really enjoyed it.Hans & Ankie

We celebrated Christmas in the cottage. The owner had provided nice decorations. Too bad the jacuzzi was inside - this made the whole house feel damp. Outside is so much more cozy. Cottage was clean. In the kitchen I lack a sufficiently large cooking pot. Internet was fast and stable.

In short:
You can stay here for 2 weeks. The place and surroundings are very quiet except for the bird nests. The church tinkles softly every few hours and louder at 12 and 7 p.m., but not annoyingly. The house is in a small cul-de-sac with 4 houses. You can easily park 2 cars in front of the house. You walk down a street to the sea. There is a mobile crepe stand nearby that is recommended. Otherwise we had to drive to the restaurants in neighboring towns (the ones in town weren't rated particularly well online).
You can also shop on Sundays (generally open at different times during the holidays) a few minutes' walk in a small Cookimarket. For a larger market it takes about 20 minutes. to a bigger place.
The biggest drawback of the house was the sagging beds. You can't even turn the mattress in the double bed, or it doesn't seem to be intended to be turned over. After 1 1/2 weeks, my partner preferred to spend the night on the sofa because he couldn't stand the bed anymore.
The jacuzzi does its job here because it relaxes the damaged back and neck a bit.
Additionally, the WiFi was atrocious. We often had the problem on the SmartTV that a film stopped on Netflix. Only when we found a cable and connected the TV to the router were we finally able to watch the film and the WiFi worked a little better. Before that, you could watch YouTube on one device and all other devices could hardly do the smallest things.
But even after that, the SteamDeck kept getting kicked out and my tablet couldn't even log into the WiFi.
Unfortunately, there was also a drawback: immediately after our arrival we had to remove dirt from the previous tenants. The cooking pots all looked a little disgusting and had to be rinsed through again. The coffee machine was dirty with residual coffee water in the drip tray.

A clean house, but this house is not suitable for 6 people. The sofa bed is really not for two people to sleep on. The other beds were also not really good. I also think there should be more crockery, cutlery, pans in the house. Now every time you use a plate you have to wash it immediately because there is not an extra set available. There was a musty smell in the house. There is no ventilation at all in the bathroom. It was very humid in the house. Our clothes had acquired a certain smell from the humidity in the house. The table is also too small with 5-6 people. And you couldn't really relax on the couch together. Maybe put up some clothes hangers too. There weren't any. The towels are also too small and too thin The owner is friendly. We had asked for a kettle because there was none, and some extra towels and they were brought the same evening.Jacuzzi is fine. Kids loved it. Environment is very nice. Beach and city Bayeux is a must.
