The ROOMS needs a finca in Mallorca – we were absolutely certain of that. Honestly, we had NO IDEA what to expect in Mallorca, which houses actually appealed to us, and what we should look at before we got there. First, we did our homework online, got an overview, and talked to friendly and competent real estate agents and disinterested busybodies – it was all there. And in retrospect, we quickly found ROOM NO. 8, although we didn't know it at the time. VILLA or FINCA – that is the question: Put another way – shopping, beach, and bars within walking distance – but high life and partying in the neighborhood every day from morning to night – even when we want peace and quiet? Or – – in keeping with the motto – half the size of the Ohlsdorf Cemetery, but twice as dead? Ideally, a mix of both would be – to paraphrase Tucholsky – the plaza in front, the Mediterranean Sea behind – that would be it…

What are all these advantages?
A large, mature property within a gated community.
Plus, a saltwater pool where you can actually swim, a sauna, and such well-maintained outdoor areas with daybeds, loungers, lounges, and large covered and open terraces that any beach club would be envious.
A well-maintained, modern house with an energy efficiency rating of B, not a dingy finca, not a would-be conversion – the house presents itself as a classic, with absolutely successful architecture that is truly unparalleled.
The bedrooms are all air-conditioned, and the open, loft-like living/dining room has ceilings up to 7.50 meters high. The bathrooms each have walk-in showers, and 3 of them even have bathtubs. In the kitchen, you'll find both gas and induction cooktops, plus, of course, an oven, steamer, and a fully automatic coffee machine – all from Siemens. And the grill – a large gas grill is located on the covered terrace – please. For the ingredients and cool drinks, there's, of course, a large double-sided fridge-freezer combination – if you want, you can make your own ice cubes... Plus, there's classic bar equipment. We open the bar at the beginning of the season with a selection of drinks tailored to our tastes. Over the summer, our guests bring in what they've finished drinking and what they love, but might still be missing. Then the bar is passed on to the next guest, and so on. We call it give and take... where everyone leaves their personal calling card – neat, mixed, as a cocktail, or ice-cold on the rocks.
Speaking of ice – if it does get a bit chilly, the underfloor heating provides cozy warmth – or you can light the open fireplace – whatever you prefer.
The furnishings match the modern style of the finca; the color scheme is calm, the style is minimalist. A mix of warm wood tones and large, light tiles combined with glass and steel. Beautiful, unique pieces we found stand alongside design classics that delight our eyes, while simultaneously soothing and refreshing them.
The pool terrace invites you to relax and linger all day long – either under cover for shade or by the pool for sun worshippers. Make yourself comfortable on the loungers and daybeds and treat yourself. You deserve it.
Those who want to use the sauna upstairs will pay a small surcharge for electricity. We will take the meter reading and bill you for your consumption.
