A dream house in a fantastic quiet location in the middle of nature. All comfort present, neat clean, highly recommended for people who love peace and with honden.Een fenced garden, and 50 meters further you walk into the woods.It seemed like a fairytale, really great!

Reception was good, clear explanation. The farm is really super cute, fully equipped and the garden is great, completely fenced so the dog could enjoy free-range. It is at the end of the road, no traffic passes by. From the house you can walk straight into the forest where you can make beautiful walks.

The accommodation is great. Very comfortable nice bed, nice good kitchen, nice furniture, nice lounge sofa, authentic, beautiful fireplace and wonderful bathroom. Heatable, nice and dark in the bedroom for sleeping with a hatch. Lovely well-kept garden with nice seats and lots of privacy! And a nice trampoline! The communication with the owner went well and everything was well organized. We received a lot of nice brochures and walking maps. The surroundings are beautiful with the rural landscape, the countryside and the nice city of Ypres and the hills. We have a nice walk along the Ijzer. Also a lot to see about the First World War. Very impressive and very educational. Strange that we know so little about it in the Netherlands, it all happened around the corner. In terms of tourism, the Westhoek has a lot of well-marked hiking trails, cycle paths and everything very clear about WW1 museums. And of course we will not forget the beer! The coveted bottles of Sint Sixtus Abbey in Westvleteren, and many other beer breweries and the Hop Museum in Poperinge! The hop and barley grows all around you. We were very pleasantly surprised about this region that is still very quiet! Nice for people who are looking for peace, but at the same time I wish the population the appreciation of this beautiful region. But keep in mind that the hospitality industry is not always open during the week. Highly recommended in all respects.

A delightful place to unwind! Terrible with a lot of explanation, the kids enjoyed the trampoline and hot tub. Hiking and cycling in the area in Poperinge we did nice walk with app pope rings 14-18. It was great!

Authentic, characterful, monumental place, super location! Facilities fine, everything is there. Hostess friendly and important, accessible. As a welcome a Westvleteren beer, absolutely great. The authentic ensures that the ceiling is on the low side, but if you've hit your head once, you'll never forget it ;-) And yes, there's no WiFi, but you won't miss that. The road to it may not be a smooth asphalt road, but think of it as the rest (driving) that starts from the beginning of the road. In short, highly recommended!

The house is very comfortably furnished, very dog-friendly. The location is wonderful if you want to get away from your stressful life. The kitchen is clean, well stocked with everything you need. we had a great week in the farm, very quiet area, located on a dead end road between field and forest. Ideal for the dogs, you can go straight into the forest and the garden is fenced. The cottage is super cozy and intimate. Low doors were not disturbing, but we are not super large ourselves. The farmer had just harvested beets, so the road just in front of the house was a bit slippery, but a bit of adventure is welcome. Especially the immense peace has struck us although we come from the countryside ourselves. Due to corona everything was closed in the area so we have no experience with restaurants. Bakery and supermarket are nearby and the kitchen in the house is well equipped, so that was no problem. We will definitely come back.

What we have had a blissful week, a very sweet friendly welcome by mrs of the cottage everything so neatly arranged and very much was explained by the mrs, we've got tips to do .The beds and everything super clean. delicious also enjoyed our four girls (dogs) who were here .We really holiday tip for the people who will come after us with dogs in this period the forest paths lined with blackberry bushes not really doing for those dogs feet but once you get into the forest is over and you can linger .we imagined us in a fairy tale Efteling which certainly came through the lovely cottage, go for peace then this is a must .Large compliments for the mrs for the care of the house and garden to hope that the honor and love koetsert because it is a special place .COR and Lydia Leurs

A very quiet environment with only the sounds of birds and the farmer in his field. Small, but pleasant house, although you should not be too big because the ceilings are very low. Fully enclosed garden so that our dog could go outside freely. Forest and hiking trails nearby.

Good location to explore the area and visit the sights using the walking junctions and on-site information.

Nostalgia in an old mud farmhouse in a very rural environment. So quiet and such a silence during the night. Great to relax and completely unwind. Even bumping your head against the low doorways cannot harm you at such a moment.

The tranquility in this farmhouse is unparalleled. Located alone at the end of a (not easy to find) dirt road, surrounded by woods and fields. I have seen deer several times passing by on the cornfield, which was partially mowed. Reception was very friendly. Received a trappist from Westvleteren as a welcome. The cottage is authentic, but cleverly restored. The other side of this coin: the low ceilings and doors. There is also no Wifi (but that is already on the website and so you knew in advance). Furthermore, you immediately feel at home. The kitchen is relatively small, but very conveniently furnished and well equipped. In the immediate and further surroundings you can go hiking, cycling and visit nature reserves. The nearby cities such as Ypres, Poperinge, Veurne, Passchendaele are historically interesting and there are numerous museums, often about WW I. Also nearby: de Blankaart, Heuvelland, Kemmelberg, Palingbeek. A topper for lovers of nature and tranquility.
