Below expectations given the lack of maintenance and the dirty condition of the house.
The owner was notified one hour before arrival. Only when we arrived on site did we notify the owner. When we arrived there was no key ready, but that was normal since we were too early. At that moment the shutters were down. We took advantage of the waiting time to do some shopping. We were back in less than an hour. Shutters were raised and the keys were ready at the indicated location. Landlord was not on site. Kitchen floor and living room floor were wet. It smelled like javel. There was clearly 'crossed with wet' during our shopping absence. It soon turned out that spray had been used to cover up the musty smell in the home, but without success.
It smelled musty everywhere. The frequently present old carpet was no stranger to this. We constantly use concentrated air freshener in the bedroom and living room to make it feasible. Windows continuously opened during our absence. The musty smell remains.
The fact that we did not see anyone upon arrival at the house was particularly disturbing.
No explanation about WiFi code, No explanation about the operation of the gas stove. The heating appeared to be turned off everywhere, even though the weather reports predicted cool weather. This was especially annoying in the bathrooms. After numerous text messages, an explanation was only provided after 3 days.
The Nespresso machine was as leaky as a sieve. The kitchen cabinets were covered in a thick layer of grease, breadcrumbs and dust.
There was NO room in the kitchen cabinets for the products we purchased. They were packed with already used products (previous tenants/owner himself?) Mold, dust, oiliness. To gag.
The view and location of the house may be ideal, but that's about it.
We really feel cheated in terms of rent paid.
