We were a group with adults and children / adolescents in the Bergfried house for skiing. We felt very comfortable in the house, it is lovingly furnished and offers a lot of space. The quality of stay is particularly high in the living area on the ground floor. The ski bus stops right in front of the door and takes you to the "CityXpress" valley station in Zell am See in 10 minutes, but unfortunately does not run that often. Maximum every 30 minutes, normally every hour. There were two small drops of wormwood in the house: The bathroom on the top floor had had water damage (given the stains on the ceiling in the bathroom directly below on the first floor) for a long time. It actually dripped from the ceiling on the 1st floor when you used the shower up there. The second point of criticism: The booked final cleaning is made rather superficial, especially the cleanliness in the cupboards in the kitchen on the ground floor left a lot to be desired.

The house was great, we 8 travelers felt very comfortable. A criticism I must still attach ......... the kitchen at first glance very well .......... but then ......... the hood completely greasy, the filter under the same way, the oven filthy stained ..... the drawers, would have to be wiped out ....... and a shambles, a lot of old and wrecked Kochuntensil, should be cleaned out ....... .... I cleaned up a top drawer and cleaned .......... the refrigerator corner ............. I do not know when the last time was cleaned there , is certainly a long time ago ..... I put the lying in the corner on the floor utensils in the bucket and swept ..... the left side and behind the fridge, I have "given" me ...... on and to the left of the fridge dusty and filthy trays ........ the three or four aprons hanging in the kitchen, could also be washed. the skirting of the panels still showed some traces of its predecessors. I took some pictures. I hope my criticism does not come in the "wrong throat". Herrn gadenstätter I have made attentive to these unsightly things. A great accommodation with sufficient space. Too bad only sleeping place for 12 iplv 14 people! The sofa beds are for 1 person only and there are no curtains in the living room / bedroom! The house is very spacious with beautiful bedrooms and private parking for 3 or 4 cars' s. It has a large kitchen with all modern appliances and a basement for ski boots and ski "s. The bus stop is right outside the door, perfect. In 10 minutes you are on the bus in the skigebied.Het only flaw we found the sofa bed (narrow and unstable) in the playroom. This was broken and we had to explain under logs, but with 12 people, the house is fine!

Sober reception, the door was open and later the caretaker came along. The house was a beautiful Austrian villa that fully met all expectations. The view was beautiful, and the house had plenty of sun during the day.

On arrival there was no one there, and we found the key in the lock. We could enter immediately. (4 adults, 4 children, 1,3, 7, 9 years) The house we felt more spacious and lighter than it looked in the picture 's. It was quite warm. Floor where we ourselves actually further did not affect . We have the temperature so adjusted using the open up windows (we were there in October). Upstairs in the sleeping quarters it was okay cool to houden.Alles what you need is in the house. the disadvantage was that many small business showed hitches Bv -. Showers in every room on the first floor, but with broken container gently to place the shower head, so it falls down when the pressure is off -. however, a cot, but a mattress of two parts thin foam rubber which is actually not to mention mattress is -. Well highchairs but what grubby and straps that are not fixed kunnen.- the upper floor was clean, except for all edges -. There was a dishwasher, but this did not completely clean. - There is a playroom, but many incomplete etc. Contact beforehand was via email and SMS bad the owner. We have been coming to this house for several years. What stood out this year was that it was not as clean as we are used to. A considerable amount is charged for final cleaning. Then you can also expect a clean house. In addition, we found a number of defects. If it turns out that the owners have been in the house before you, you would think that your property has been taken care of. We also had a great week.

The weather in the 2 weeks was good. Unfortunately, the house is only satisfactory. And it's about cleanliness. Thick dust on the lampshades, cupboards etc. Crumbs in the drawers etc. Luckily the weather was good and we didn't have to stay in the house all day. I myself am also in favor of saving energy. This light in the hallways and partly in the rooms was an impertinence. A lighter brings better lighting conditions. The house is very big, we really liked that. The beds creak every time you turn around. I don't want to get annoyed any further and leave it at that. Perhaps successors will find better conditions soon.

We have been coming to Zell am See for over 10 years and it never fails to disappoint. The town is clean with lots of places to eat and drink and far too many activities and places to visit in a week. We even went sledging on the glacier in Aug!
The only negative is that as this is the second year we stayed at the Villa we have seen a drop in the standards. The carpets are very stained with it looks like chewing gum on some of the bed room carpets. All of the showers were broken and the trays flooded. The shower head fell off several times in one room hitting me on the head and dropping heavily on my feet. This also happened in my sons shower hitting him quite hard. I did report this twice verbally and by email but nothing was done. We also had to sort the rubbish left outside as it was attracting flys and had to give the outside a good sweep to remove litter and fag butts. It's such a shame as the house is so nice and could be luxurious. All beds were o my given 1 pillow which I though was a bit tight as we pay 10 euro per person bedding fee and also only 1 small towel. It has made us wonder whether to book next year. On the whole it's a fab house in a great location but with maintenance issues that would take very little effort to rectify.

10 people from grandparents to grandchildren and what's in between is delicious enjoyed a nice vacation home. And near Zell am See and everything that is going on, one week is too short ........... so we'll be back. And especially Salzburg and Grossclockner Hochalpstrasse need to do your

The house has everything for a perfect ski holiday with a group of 10 people required is great spacious community room with kitchen, sitting area for all persons, several sofas, TV with Playstation 2 and Stereoanlage- cellar with Schuhheizung- generous bedrooms with comfortable beds and partly Badezimmer.- own small apartment with sofa bed and additional kitchen (including 2 refrigerators.) in the op floor garden with parking and seating (evenings still sunny) - bus stop right outside the door (about 10min to the Schmittenhöhe ski, the glacier about 1h.) All in all a very good holiday and I can highly recommend the cottage. Particularly positive was that despite loud music on the ground floor, no noise in the bedrooms could be heard and the sleep is not compromised.

We had a wonderful holiday and can recommend it if you are going with several families and children on vacation this house. We had 4 children with us aged 0-4 years. Shame there was little outside playing space at the house. Fortunately, we were allowed to use the swing of the neighbors. The house is fully equipped to EN television after. But we have not missed.

Beautiful, spacious house with all modern conveniences. The ski bus stops outside the door and the car are the slopes of Zell am See and Kaprun reach in short time. We enjoyed our stay.

The house was very spacious and near the lake with pool. Many sporting things done around as rafting, climbing and tobogganing. Many swim in the lake. A very enjoyable holiday.

The house is located in the sunny district of Thumersbach in Zell am See. Villa Bergfried was built in the 1920s and has been lovingly renovated by its new owners in recent years – but it has lost none of its original charm.
