Burggrub lies right on the Bavarian-Thuringian border, making it an ideal base for hiking and biking adventures through the Franconian Forest, Thuringian Forest, and the Green Belt Germany nature reserve. Popular day trips include Kronach (12 km), Sonneberg (12 km), Coburg (30 km), and Bamberg (60 km). In winter, enjoy skiing and cross-country trails in the nearby mountains.

After a day outdoors, unwind in the beautifully maintained garden, complete with a BBQ area and a barrel sauna (available for €30/use). You’ll have private parking at the house.

The apartment in Burggrub was fantastic. Upon arrival a good reception with clear explanation of all equipment the holiday home. The holiday home was perfectly clean and the location perfect in a nice and quiet village. The area is within easy reach of everything to do or to visit. The shops can be reached in a neighboring village. In the village there is 1 restaurant but there are plenty of possibilities for dining in the area with choices of fine regional dishes. A nice apartment, nicely decorated and all that a person needs is present. Such a plume so.2 hanging hooks in the bathroom would really finish.

We were warmly welcomed, very friendly people, The apartment was luxurious and fully equipped! It's just a shame that you have to drive at least half an hour to shop or visit nice towns. The towns of Kronach, Coburg, Bamberg, Bayreuth are nice historic towns for shopping and visiting. The supermarkets are closed on Sundays as well. The city of Nuremberg is really big and nice shops, we went there by train from Coburg, to avoid parking stress, because it is a very busy city! We have a good time! and the apartment definitely recommended !!

Nice and spacious apartment. Everything carefully taken care of. Good hiking and cycling possibilities in the area. Quiet but sufficient little towns nearby and sights (forts and castles, Deutsch-deutsches museum Mödlareuth).

Upon our arrival we were received very kindly by the owners of the cottage. Gentleman had created the stove because some chilly weather. We could do with all of our questions also come to them. The environment is very beautiful and if you want to drive a little further than there are to visit very beautiful cities. The location is fine for walkers but is little to do in the village itself. For shopping you have to go to a bigger place. All in all a good holiday despite the regen.Elly and Frits Reemers.

The fantastic accommodation is at a reasonable distance of some beautiful historic cities of Kronach, Coburg, Bamberg and Bayreuth. Also on ground of nature, the hilly area with lots of bike paths (routes) to offer a thing. We were 1 week at the facility and had no objection want to stay longer.

Once we were a bit late with our search for an apartment, we have nothing suitable gefunden.Ein more happiness in space Bayreuth that we have therefore evaded auf's country. We have a quiet, tastefully renovated and spotlessly clean apartment found, when everything was alright. Above all, the possibility of being able to share the spacious garden has inspired us. Although the apartment is located on a floor on the 1st floor, one lives in the house alone. So no disturbing neighbors with loud TV or whining Kindern.Wir were often traveling by car and found the accessibility of interesting places well within. Bamberg, Bayreuth, Kulmbach, Kronach, Coburg and lots of museums, castles, churches, monasteries, it will not langweilig.Ein special praise goes also to our hosts. They were always available as a contact, even had an umbrella for the balcony due to a corresponding inquiry prior to our arrival worried and granted us proverbial stones out of the way that when parking a trailer no problems gab.Wir would come back anytime.
