Along the hiking trails in the area, there are also cafes/mountain lodges with simple meals. Segalstad Bru is the nearest town, 10 km away, with shops and a shopping centre. Lillehammer is the nearest city and is around 30 km away. In the summer, the outside fence is electric because it is a grazing area for sheep and cows.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, freezer, stove, dishwasher, microwave, and coffee maker. The cabin has 4 bedrooms, one with a double bed, two with a family bunk bed with a 150 cm double bed downstairs and a single bunk upstairs, and the last room has 1 bunk bed for two people. The view and nature can be enjoyed through large roof to floor windows. This is the perfect cabin to enjoy the Norwegian mountains and for easy access to hiking trails and mountain terrain. Near the cabin, you can take a drive to the center of Øyer, where you will find both grocery stores and restaurants. If you want to try downhill cycling, this is very close from Hafjell. Hunderfossen family park, Lilleputthammer and Lekeland are also nearby. The mountain offers great hiking opportunities, and you can, for example, take the gondola up to the mountainside for a great experience.

Several beautiful beaches in the area, including Skjellvik beach only 20 minutes walk away with great swimming possibilities and a small ice cream parlor. Fishing opportunities near the holiday home where you can catch saithe and mackerel. Sandefjord is a pleasant town with many restaurants and a bustling life during summer. Throughout the year, the cultural experiences line up: Festivals, concerts, theater, show or art - here there is a lot to choose between! Sandefjord has a total of 45 km of marked hiking trails along Vesterøya and Østerøya. You can either choose to walk there from the city center or take the car and start from one of the campsites Vøra or Langeby. Yxney on Østerøya and Folehavna on Vesterøya in Sandefjord have two completely different vantage points at the end of each peninsula. Yxney has a nature reserve, and at Folehavna you can find the remains of a German fort from 1941. Also, you could to take the ferry to Strømstad in Sweden should you fancy some more shopping.

There is a fishing river with a small waterfall only a short walk away. You can also go hiking and fishing in the mountains. Within 1 hour drive there are plenty of activities for the whole family.
