Lillehammer is the nearest city and is around 30 km away. In the summer, the outside fence is electric because it is a grazing area for sheep and cows.

Fishing in Atnsjøen or nearby rivers and lakes, or canoeing on Atnelva or boat trips on Atnsjøen. The area can offer a number of great fishing lakes with trout and char. Lots of berries in the autumn. The cabin is located next to the Atnasjø Café, where you can buy coffee, cakes and dinner in the high season. The cafe also rents out a boat with a motor for use on Lake Atnsjøen. Popular with canoe hire at Atnelva (local company). Grocery store (Joker Atnbrua) is only 2.6 km away. The nearest town is Folldal, approx. 30 min. drive. Distance from Gardermoen airport is approx. 3 hours by car.

Note that there is a 250 meters walk from the car park to the holiday house, the owner has a trolley in the car park which can be used for luggage. About 6-8 minutes’ walk to the ski lift, where you also find Kikutkroa with a good selection of food and wine, and at the top of the lift, there is a small wine bar with a fantastic view.
