Great hiking terrain in the area near the cabin and the mountains along the Sognefjord with fantastic views. The owner of the cabin also has a small farm cabin/stable house on the farm on the mountain with the mountain Lihesten in the background, which you can visit (see last photo). At the top is the Hoven Restaurant, where you get a 210 degree panoramic view towards Skåla and Lovatnet in the east, Jostedalsbreen and Olden in the south, and out the Nordfjord which meanders further towards Stryn in the west. From Hoven can you experience the high mountains on your own in an extensive trail network. It is only approx. 20 km from the holiday home to the car park at the Briksdalsbreen glacier. Cape Hella just below the holiday house has a 180-degree panoramic view of the Sognefjord and the mountain peaks in the area. You can also go glacier hiking, climbing, paddling or cycling. A visit to Kaupanger stave church (55 km away), built around the year 1140 and one of Norway's oldest stave churches, is recommended. The "Heibergske". Collections – Sogn folkemuseum" in Kaupanger has a wide selection of buildings and objects collected from a large area. Further inside the Sognefjord is Lærdal, 66 km and a ferry ride away from the holiday house, where you can find preserved wooden buildings in the Swiss style.
