Welcome to this red croft in Småland's cozy forests with a wonderful view of Lake Kvistagyl. The house is perfect for those interested in nature or for those who are looking for peace and quiet. Here you can take the day as it comes, angling down in the lake or go hiking on the fields. When you enter the house you are met by a spacious hall and from there you have a bedroom on the left with a double sofa bed and an extra bed. The living room has TV, comfortable furniture and a beautiful wood burning stove from 19th century that gives a cozy atmosphere if any evening would feel a little bleak. Here you can sit down with a good book and really relax. Please note that there is no wifi in this cottage. From the living room you move on to the kitchen which has both induction hob, dishwasher and even a wood stove. and bedrooms. At the kitchen table you can go out on the large terrace and enjoy your breakfast there while looking out over the lake. The bedroom is bright and feels spacious, also here you have a view of the lake.The bathroom is bright and airy with toilet, shower and washing machine. The house has fishing rights in the lake and also in another lake that the owner can inform about. The lake below the house is not a direct swimming lake, but it is up to everyone if you want to swim there. Lake with good shallow bathing area is about 10 km away; Sandören, with jetty and sandy beach. In Häradsbäck 4km away there is a café with a restaurant that is well worth a visit. There is also a small grocery store nearby. Welcome to a really wonderful holiday stay!

In this high and beautifully situated small cabin in the middle of nature, you can stay at any time of the year. Whatever the season, the view from the house and the embedded large balcony offers a fantastic view over both a pond, fields and forest. Along the winding dirt road up towards the cottage, you pass the mill with its 1,000-year history. The waterways all around, which supplied the mill wheel with power to grind flour, are today a well-visited excursion destination. The newly renovated house consists of a larger room with exposed ceiling beams for lots of space and light. There are 2 daybeds with a total of 4 beds to be able to both sit and watch TV and sleep in. Table with chairs for meals and a stove to fire on the slightly cooler days. The kitchen area at the back of the house has all the possibilities for self-catering. From here there is a patio door out onto the large wooden deck which has sun loungers, a charcoal grill and outdoor furniture to sit and enjoy both the sunrise and sunset. Spacious bathroom also new and fresh inside the well-preserved and renovated original door from before. The Siggaboda nature reserve and Åsnen national park also have popular hiking trails to explore in the immediate area. A magical place to visit is the Black Mountains which is the world's largest diabase quarry and still in use. There is a museum, sculptures and a restaurant here. For those interested in furniture, the IKEA museum is not far from here and there is also a department store in the founder's hometown of Älmhult. Another spectacular excursion destination is the Car Cemetery Kyrkö mosse, which consists of more than 100 old car wrecks left to nature. In the area, there are many lakes to both take a cooling dip in and buy a fishing license for great fishing luck. Kuppersjön's bathing area and Norraryd's campsite, about 1 mile away. In addition to the swimming area, the latter also has activities and the rental of canoes, bicycles and saunas. Welcome! The house is cleaned before departure!

Here you have everything you need in a cozy private location but at the same time close to much of the area. The cottage consists of kitchen and living room, bathroom and a bedroom located on the 1st floor. The nice living room has been renovated by the owners as late as 2021 and the kitchen will be updated, the plan is for the 2022 season, stay tuned for new photos! There is a cot in the bedroom which can be used if desired. In addition, there is a single bed on the second floor. So the house has 3 beds plus cot. Great for the small family. Not far from Ryd is Åsnen National Park which with its beautiful lake landscape which is an excellent excursion destination. At Getnö farm you can paddle on Åsnen and also visit all the hiking trails in the area. For those who want to make a day trip, there is much to discover in the area. You can visit the Småland Glass Kingdom with many glassworks and artists with open studios. For those interested in fishing, there are great fishing opportunities in several different lakes within a 6 km radius from the house. Not far from the house is also Skvaltkvarnen in Siggamåla. Gourmet mills are simple flour mills. The mill from 1822 and was moved in 1875 to Siggamåla where it was in operation until 1918. Even today the mill is in working order and is in use during the summer and then you can buy freshly ground rye flour here. Air conditioning can be ordered and you pay directly to the owner.
