Welcome to a solid spacious nice house located in an unbeatable environment. On the border of southeastern Västergötland and to beautiful Småland lies this charming accommodation. The house is called Älvan and is one of three nice houses that are surrounded by rural air. Everything is located on a large farm called "Sägnernas hus" and has an entertainment facility with a dance floor, boules court, concerts and its own museum right next door. Here you can find probably just about everything a family with children or larger groups could wish for. The lower floor of the house is adapted for those with functional variation with large rooms and spacious bathrooms. You are welcomed with a small patio overlooking the field. The hall is bright and with an open floor plan where the kitchen and living room are in one. To the right is the bathroom, which is light gray and fresh. To the left is the first bedroom which has a double bed 180 cm. Next to this bedroom there is a bunk bed and also a sofa bed 140 cm wide. The kitchen is airy and lovely. A nice stove stands in the corner that warms chilly evenings. The TV is placed behind the stairs and can be rolled out if needed. The kitchen has plenty of space for delicious dinners. From the kitchen you can go out to the covered terrace. Here you can sit and enjoy the evenings to the chirping of birds and the sunset. There is a cozy loft in the house that is led up by the impressive staircase of solid wood. The ceiling height is not that high but it is a perfect crawl for you with older children who want to be by themselves. In the summer, you as a guest can enjoy a good homemade cake and typical Swedish coffee in the café. You can also pre-book food and coffee by the homeowners who run the whole place. In the area there is also a magical little museum about creatures from the former "Folktromuséum", a museum about old folk beliefs. This is something for both children and adults. In the area there are fish-rich streams, lakes where fishing licenses are required. If you like to walk and wander in nature, there are three popular hiking trails that go past the accommodation. If you want, you can book a day at one of several spas in the area. Take a trip to Ekhagen's ancient village in Åsarp or play golf on one of Sweden's oldest golf courses in a castle environment; Ryfors GK and Mullsjö Alpin are not far from here. In June, the Knights Games are organized by the owners. If you are several families / in larger groups, you can also book house 09012 and house 13574, which is also available at the facility. In the beautiful nature outside Sandhem you will find this beautiful old farm that can become your very own summer idyll. Rullstensåsar shapes the hilly landscape in the surroundings, which really invites one to go out and discover on foot. In a rural setting, with a private location is the renovated farm from the late 1800s. The rooms are large and airy with plenty of space for 7 people. The kitchen has been renovated in 2021 and is brand new, but the charm is well maintained and the kitchen will easily become the heart of the house during your stay. It is located directly adjacent to the patio so it will be convenient to enjoy your meals outdoors. Only about 400 meters away is the boat that is included in the rent, it is possible to swim at the mooring, but the owners recommend that you rather row and discover the lake and other bathing places. In the community Sandhem there is a large swimming area with bathing jetty, playground and barbecue area. The house has three bathrooms with shower and toilet, one of which has been renovated as late as 2021 and also washing machine. On the first floor you will find two of the bathrooms, kitchen, dining area and living room. As well as two large bedrooms with two beds in each a small bedroom with a single bed. Every year, many thousands of fishermen fish in Stråken, which is almost 30 km long but at most 500 m wide. Here you will find both precious fish and ordinary freshwater fish as well as plenty of implanted crayfish. It is possible to rent a canoe at Kyrkekvarn's canoe center which is 7 km from the house. Paddling in Tidan is very beautiful and it is also possible to make longer excursions and sleep over at the prepared rest areas. It is possible to charge your electric car here.

The homeowners live by a house some distance away and run Sägnernas Hus and are happy to help. For those who want to be out in nature, there are plenty of opportunities for both hunting / fishing, hiking trails and canoe rentals. If you come with an electric car, there is a charging post next door. The farm is run and is ecologically sustainable where solar cells are located throughout the facility. If you come in large company, there are also pitches for caravans in connection and clamping tents. In summer you can enjoy good homemade coffee in the café with homemade strawberry cake. You are welcomed directly into the living room which is bright with nice furnishings. There is a dining table with room for 4 people and comfortable armchairs. On the left you have a bedroom with two single beds. To the right is the small kitchenette where there are two hotplates on one side. On the other there is a bench stove with oven which also has two hotplates. Then you have a bathroom with a walk-in shower. Inside you will find the cottage's second bedroom with a bed of 140cm. Outside there is a barbecue area for pleasant evenings under starry skies. Out here in the countryside it is incredibly nice sunset and very open spaces. The homeowners live in the house next door and are happy to help. Inside the barn called "Sägnernas hus" is a dance band lodge / gathering place and you can also pre-book food / café from the homeowners.
