The plot is shared with a family member of the owners, but here there has been a change of place. The owners recommend the swimming area at little Bjälkerum, where you have a beautiful view of the sunset. A visit to Astrid Lindgren's World in Vimmerby is usually popular with children. You can also visit Astrid Lindgren's childhood home Näs, Emil's Katthult and Bullerbyn. In Mariannelund is the film village where filming environments from classic films by Astrid Lindgren can be experienced. The cottage is on the owner's plot so it is a shared plot. Here you have an excellent starting point for exploring much of what Småland has to offer. You are close to excursion destinations such as the Kingdom of Glass, Öland and Åsnen National Park. In Växjö, just over 30 minutes away, you have shopping cafes and restaurants.

A rowing boat is included in the rent between 1/5-30/10 and life jackets are available to borrow. On level 1 there is the large, spacious kitchen, which is adjacent to the living room, where the large dining area is located. All with the same fantastic view as the balcony. Exit to the balcony is here and it is easy to socialize while preparing for example. a meal. A house made for lovely evenings together with good food! Should you visit the cottage in slightly colder weather, you can sit on the sofas in front of the stove and enjoy the warmth and the view of the lake at the same time. This cozy cottage is located on the shore of Lake Säljen. Here you can experience the best of the Småland countryside in a wonderfully rustic environment. The cottage is a carefully renovated log cabin, which provides a wonderfully cozy atmosphere in front of the fireplace. In the surrounding nature you can enjoy fishing, hiking and cycling in the forest with the possibility of mushroom - and berry picking during late summer. Just a stone's throw from the house is the lake with a cozy swimming area, barbecue area and boat dock where a boat is included when you rent the cottage. The ground floor of the house consists mainly of a large living room with a cozy sofa group, dining table with space for shared moments around the table and the crackling of the stove provides comfortable warmth during the colder days. The kitchen with all the possibilities for self-catering is located one step up and also has a dining table with chairs. A separate toilet with very easy handling, instructions are on site, is located together with a washbasin. The shower room can be found in a separate room right next door. Upstairs, up a slightly steep staircase, are 2 single beds. In the room inside there is a double bed for 2 more people to sleep in. The owners, who live right next door, run the company Fyrhjulingsupplevelser and can offer quad biking for an extra cost. They organize events, adventure safaris and various group activities. Only 10 minutes' drive south is Åseda with grocery stores, a service station and restaurants. A preserved narrow gauge railway through Åseda offers you to cycle the trolley and ride the nostalgia train during the summer season. Within about 1 hour's drive you can visit the glassworks, the wooden town of Eksjö and the fantastic Astrid Lindgren's World.

There is also a fantastically nice swimming area at Storsjön in Edsbruk. The house has a small patio with outdoor furniture.You also have the more secluded back of the house where you can enjoy the nice view over the fields and forest.There are nice walking areas where you can enjoy wonderful forest and nature. Berries and mushrooms are available in season. Here you can see plenty of cranes, birdlife, deer and hares. The house's living room is nicely furnished with a nice sofa in front of the TV and a nice dining area. The kitchen has most of what you might need. Note that it is not permitted to fire in the tiled stove or the wood stove. You have a smaller bathroom with toilet and sink under the stairs. Shower cubicle is in a small secluded part of the hall. Upstairs is a magically sweet bedroom with a double bed. Above the stairs is an open bedroom with two single beds. Popular archipelago communities such as Valdemarsvik, Loftahammar and Västervik lie like a string of pearls along the coast. Popular Loftahammar with boaters, restaurants, cafes and cooling baths by beaches and cliffs. Don't miss the summer town of Västervik with its picturesque town centre, its restaurants and many summertime events. Tour boats depart for the archipelago from both Loftahammar and Västervik. In Gamleby there is Hammarsbadet and the troll park Garpedansberget. The beautiful village of Vråka is also well worth a visit, here there is glassblowing, a flea market and an ice cream café. For the youngest, a visit to Astrid Lindgren's World in Vimmerby is usually popular. Or why not Kolmårdens Djurpark with an ice cream stop in wonderful Söderköping on the way. Virum's moose park is also nice for both children and adults. The popular Tindered country kitchen is only 10 km away. At Café Kårtorp 15 km away you can enjoy a lunch or coffee.

Here you live in two different houses, which is perfect if you are two families who want to celebrate holidays together. You only have 170m down to a cooling dip from the jetty and the nice swimming beach is located right next door. You have a nice glazed terrace and a large garden with a terrace where you can hang out and enjoy lovely summer days. The large house has a large open living room where you have a sitting area where you can enjoy watching the sea glisten between the trees, as well as a nice dining area in front of the wood stove and a fresh kitchen. Smart TV and Wifi are available. In the main house there is a bedroom with a double bed and a bunk bed. In the living room there is a day bed that can be made into a double bed. You can easily reach the smaller cabin via the balcony deck. Here you sleep soundly in two nice separate bedrooms with double beds. In both houses there are fresh bathrooms with wc, sink and shower. There is a nice sauna in the smaller cabin. Maintain electricity and turn it off when not in use. There is also a washing machine and dryer. A cute little playhouse is available for playful children. Not allowed to charge electric cars. The house is being painted for the summer of 2025. It will then be white. On Oknö there are many beaches and lovely walking paths. You are close to the campsite's swimming pool and playground, where in the summer there is a restaurant, ice cream café, events, boat-bike and pedal car rental as well as a small grocery store where you can buy freshly baked bread. You have access to an oak tree, so you can explore the lake and a canoe for paddling trips in the beautiful Alsterån, which the plot also borders.
