This holiday home is a property on the fantastic Gudhammars estate which dates back to the 17th century and is located on a promontory with views in every direction; the property lies right outside Hova. This is a perfect holiday home for the larger family/ company with high demands on location and standard. Here you can enjoy the beautiful nature during all the seasons, and during the summer you can bathe and fish in the lake of Skagern, and not least, you can enjoy the holiday home with all its facilities like the whirlpool or the wood burning bath barrel. The holiday home is built the year 1778 and is called “Flygen” and means “the wing”, and has been carefully renovated with all amenities and with tasteful furnishings. Still many of the old details have been preserved, adding to the charm of this holiday home. On the entry level you will find the bright kitchen area with its own exit to the generously sized patio, with sunlight from morning to evening. Here you can admire the wonderful view of the lake over a good meal. If the weather is too cold you can take your meal to the beautiful dining area which is connected to the kitchen, or you can go the ground floor where you will find an inviting living room with a wood burning stove. The living room is equipped with both a TV and a comfortable sofaset. On the same level there is also a bedroom with two single beds and a beautiful fully tiled bathroom with a whirlpool tub and shower. Upstairs is an additional living room with a sofa bed and TV, perfect for the children and the youngsters in the company. On the same level there is a bathroom with shower and four bedrooms. Two of them are sturdy bedrooms with wide double beds in each room; one of them even has a wood burning stove. The other two bedrooms are smaller and where one is equipped with one single bed and the other with a 120cm wide double bed. The holiday home is situated on a park like ground, where you dispose a private part of the lawn stretching towards the lake. There you will find a nice little shallow beach and a small bridge where a boat is docked, which you can rent and go on wonderful trips filled with fishing and bathing. Fishing is free of charge in the part of the lake which belongs to the owner. Of course you must take the opportunity to take a dip in the relaxing bath barrel, where you can sit and enjoy the starry nights. The bath barrel is shared with the three other cabins on the property, and costs 1500 SEK/occasion including wood for heating. (see house 40719, 38743 and 38744). This charming cottage right next to Lake Skager is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the peace and beauty of beautiful nature. With an area of 60 square meters, the cabin offers everything you need for a comfortable stay. In addition, the balcony and private jetty are right at the far end of the lake. You can't ask for closer and better. The cottage is part of the historic Gudhammars Herrgård with several houses and an old mill to begin with. The house is called Brygghuset. The cottage was newly renovated in 2023 and has a fresh and bright interior in Nordic country style that gives you a relaxing atmosphere and very welcoming. You enter a small hall with a bathroom just to the right. To the left, the living room and kitchen open up, which is integrated into one. Straight ahead from the hall is a steep ladder up to the house's first loft with sleeping space for 2 people. Next to the kitchen - with its own exit to the jetty and the balcony - is the house's second bedroom with a 160 cm bed. From the kitchen area there is a staircase/ladder to the house's second loft with two more beds. Both stairs are somewhat steep, so be careful if you have children or find it difficult to get up and down. The living room has a seating area with dining area and TV corner. The fully equipped kitchen provides the opportunity for delicious meals to be enjoyed on the balcony or in the garden while you listen to the sound of the lake. The comfortable bedroom features a double bed, and the living room has a dining area. The kitchen is very basic, offering cooking hobs and a microwave oven. The bathroom has been renovated and features a shower. The cottage is situated outside of Hova, on Gudhammar manor, which dates back to the 1600's. This is a place that is easy to love! The cottage includes a terrace, garden furnished and a grill. There is a wood-fueled outdoor hot tub, which can be rented from the landlord for 1500 SEK a time, including wood. The house is of older style and the interior is mixed. You enter a spacious hall. Directly to the right is a staircase to the upper floor where the bedrooms are located. Next to the stairs is a bathroom with washing machine / toilet and a hand shower. Straight ahead is the kitchen area with dining area for 4-6 people. To the left you have two rooms and the living room offers the heat of a stately stove. There are two comfortable sofas and a TV. Next door is another room with a sofa bed 120 cm wide. Here you go out to the terrace to grill and enjoy birdsong and sunset. On the upper level there is a sofa bed directly up the stairs which will be 120 cm wide. Directly in front of the corridor is a small toilet with sink. There is a little chafing on the wallpaper and a house of an older character. But perfect for you who want a spacious and simpler living in the country but with a lot of space and proximity to many wonderful excursion destinations.
