Eriksberg's wildlife safari, half an hour's drive away, offers beautiful nature with freely roaming Swedish wild animals. There are also hiking trails around the area and a suspension bridge over the bay. The cabin and annex are located on a plot that is shared with the homeowner's main house. A place that is secluded and peaceful, but still easy to find thanks to the main house being located close to a major road. Here you live in a clearing with the forest as your closest neighbor. Parking options are available both down by the road and halfway up to the cabin, and if you have a four-wheel drive car it is usually possible to drive all the way there. Inside the cottage you will find a kitchen with a gas stove, microwave, fridge/freezer and a countertop dishwasher as well as a dining table with chairs. The bedroom has a smaller double bed (140 cm), and the living room invites you to relax with a spacious sofa, TV with Chromecast and a wood-burning stove that spreads warmth during chilly evenings. The bathroom has a shower, combustion toilet, washbasin and washing machine. There is also wifi here, which is not available in the annex. Outside the cottage there is a terrace and in the storage room at the back you will find a portable grill - perfect for summer evening dinner. The bathroom is fully tiled with a shower and a washing machine/dryer. On the patio you can enjoy the tranquility under a terrace awning. There is also an electric grill. If you cooperate with the owner, you can charge your electric car for a fee. The area by the cottage has nice and beautiful walking paths. Nearby is the beautiful Grimejön whose cliffs invite you to rest and enjoy. Here you will also find the nature reserve with Bexel's talking stones, a different and exciting excursion destination. Here is also the radio station in Grimeton, which in 1994 was included on UNESCO's list of the "cultural and natural environments in the world and which are considered to be incomparably the most outstanding". A little further away is the Åkulla beech forests as a very attractive area. There are many nice places to visit and many hiking trails. Visit the Bockstensmannen grave. For those interested in fishing, there are several lakes in the area that offer good fishing. A fishing license is required. Åkulla FVO. In Skällingesjön there is a lovely public swimming area with a sandy beach, jetty, diving tower, etc. For those interested in golf, Varbergs Gk Ö is almost within walking distance. The course borders Grimsjön. Varberg is a real summer town with a crowd of people, restaurants, cafes and dance halls, everything that belongs to a summer town. The massive Varberg Fortress guards the entrance to the harbor and is visible from afar. Take a tour down into the bastions and casemates, follow along from the 13th century to our own time. If you go south, you will soon reach the nice summer town of Falkenberg with its fine selection of cafes, shops and restaurants. Here is also the fantastic long sandy beach at Skrea.

Here the roof is open up to the ridge, which gives a lovely space. There are patio doors out to the back patio where you can enjoy the fantastic seaview and Öland's North Lighthouse. You sleep in the house's three bedrooms. One bedroom is equipped with two single beds, the other two bedrooms are equipped with two built-in bunk beds each. Please note that these bunk beds are only 190cm long. There is a toilet with a sink and a newly renovated shower room. Not for rent to youth groups or parties. Maximum number of people is 6. It is not allowed to park a camper van, which means that there will be more people staying in the house. Not allowed to charge electric cars. There is a guesthouse in Grankullavik that serves food. At the cottage village there is a playground, rafts, docks and rental of bicycles, rowing boats and a tennis court. Here you will live perfectly for just taking it easy but also for exploring Öland. Here are Öland's finest sand and pebble beaches. Don't miss cozy Byxelkrok where you can stroll around among the small shops in the lake cottages in the harbor. There are plenty of fine restaurants and ice cream cafes. Trollskogen is close by for those who want to hike in exciting nature that brings to mind the world of fairy tales. Byrum's raukar and beautiful beaches are also well worth a visit. A grocery store that also carries Apoteket and Systembolaget is located in Byxelkrok.

The cozy cottage on Värmdö is located in privacy on a mountain with gnarled pines and beautiful rocks in the open with moss and stone plants. There is a small lawn in front of the house. The house has a nice patio with a roof with room for 6 people. There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with a built-in family bunk bed. There is also a daybed in the spacious living room. The kitchen has a lot of character, there is a dining table for 4 if you prefer to sit inside and eat. It is a slightly different and smart solution for the shower and toilet, as there was no room for a bathroom; the shower cabin is in the hall and the electric toilet is in the small hall at the entrance. On Saltarö it is never far to the sea, about one km from the house there is a nice beach with a jetty, sandy beach and shallow water. A parking permit is required to park your car there, it is in the hall for you to borrow, don't forget to put it back when you go home, so the next guest gets the same benefit. There is a bus into Stockholm just 400m from the house. In the area around the cottage there are nice walking paths and lots of nature. Sometimes the moose come up to the plot and slurp the apple tree in the garden. It is quiet and restful here, as the house is located on a turning point, here you will have a nice holiday!
