We were welcomed by Ulla at the train station a very cordial and nice woman. Made every morning that we had fresh rolls. The house was great. Large, clean and a beautiful location. The area was also very beautiful we have seen a lot and undertaken all at short or reasonable driving distance. A tip buy the karnten card costs 44 euro p.p but you have already in 1.5 day already because you can enter a lot of activities for free. On the return journey we went with the car train saves a lot of time.

Upon arrival we were kindly welcomed by Frau Ulla Buchholzen. The house is nice and big and fully equipped! The garden is very wild with vegetation and would be more inviting if more were mowed! The surroundings of Mallnitz are beautiful and fun for hikers and you can also discover many beautiful things by car

Complete villa, neat and clean on arrival with a friendly welcome. Environment is beautiful and driving to Mallnitz is special because of the car train that goes right through the Tauer mountain in about 10 minutes. Saves a lot of time and is fun to experience

Upon arrival in Malnitz via the car lock from Böckstein, we were welcomed by house manager Frau Ulla Bucholzer, welcomed and brought to our destination malnitz 170. The house looked great and met our expectations. The surrounding area is great for hiking and nature in the surrounding area (sides) is very beautiful. Also nice is the kärntencard that we could use many mountain ranges and visit attractions.

We are warmly received by the administrator and have been well informed. The environment is quiet and beautiful. The house is very spacious and sufficient for 12 people. Living room and kitchen are well equipped. (Highlight tiled stove) Without this the storm and the minus 11 degrees would not have been tolerable. The electric heater is uncomfortable set for this house. It is cold in bathrooms and toilets. 600 KWH for a week Srom is enormous, especially since we only tried to bring the baths to a comfortable temperature when they were used (lack of ground heat). Friendly welcome, spacious house with very good mattresses and beds. The basement room was very mellow and also a lot of spider webs, so we did not let the children in this room sleep and put the mattresses in the room with a bedside bed, so 4 children slept well and this went well. Although it was reported that it was not clean, they would discuss this with cleaning lady. We received an email 1 day in advance when we arrived by train. I did not understand this well but it turns out that you can come from 2 sides, one of which is via the tunnel and this was also the case with us. So we had to go through the tunnel by car on the train (Euro17, -). Children liked this, but it's handy to take into account the times, otherwise you can wait for 1 hour. Carnation card is recommended, also to be used in pool in Mallnitz. On Saturdays and Sundays, you can not buy them. Eaten at Eggerhof in Mallnitz, extensive map and good prices.

Our arrival was quite new for our hostess Ulla, so far we were the first to arrive at the house. She is used to pick up guests at Mallnitz station, but we did not receive this information via e-mail. After a few attempts, we received the very friendly and helpful Ulla on the phone from the owner. She welcomed us warmly and we were given the information to enter the house. Which was very nice because there was a huge thunderstorm above our heads. The house is very spacious which we found very pleasant. Also a nice spacious kitchen. There is (too) much trash in the living room. The whole thing is a bit corny. Too bad that in the flower boxes on the balconies there were dry plants. We could not use 1 bedroom due to water damage which we did not know in advance. The electric beds were good. The comforters (especially the synthetic ones) are in dire need of replacement. The area is very beautiful. There are still plenty of walks / sights that we have not yet come to.

Lovely accommodation, nice and spacious house and you can make beautiful walks directly from home. What seemed a bit strange is that afterwards the electricity had to be paid separately. 100, - euro for 2 weeks with very good weather, so being outside a lot is quite a lot.

We have occupied the house with nine people. We had a lot of space and were common in the dining area and lounge Ideal enjoy. Great house in nice & quiet location. Excellent features in the kitchen and the bathrooms. Ample space for 10 people. Approx. 10 minute walk to the village center and 10 minutes by car to the ski area Ankogel, about 35 minutes to Molltal glacier. Trails start right in front of the house. These is the super service and great kitchen facilities with really everything you could want, and the large stove in WZ.Für 10 people, unfortunately, only two bathrooms. Only four bedrooms + a pull out bed in the billiard room. Heating by electricity (but tiled stove in the living room which can be used to heat the whole house in doubt).

Been Mallnitz 14 days. Fantastic home. Good base to undertake. Daytrips Nice area to wandelen.Naar been the Ankogel, the Molltaler Glacier, Grossglockner, Reibeck and Kreuzeckbaan, Raggaschlucht. 14 days had good weather on day 2.5 after so no complaints whatsoever. Average of 26 to 32 degrees. Unbelievable that you are on the Molltaler Glacier at an altitude of 3150 m in your shorts and tank in the snow. Austria has made many beautiful impressions on us. On the return trip used car train through the Tauern tunnel. This was ideal. In short, been nice and worth repeating

Herz der Tauern is a very spacious and well equipped house. Great bathrooms, full kitchen and comfortable beds. Close to town, yet in a quiet place. Good base for walking and (sporty) cycling in the summer. The games room with pool table and shuffleboard is fine for the evening and the weather. South facing garden is beautiful place but was somewhat bewildered by our stay. Note that around 18:00 the sun disappears behind the mountains. Mallnitz is no village for people who seek entertainment but it breathes the atmosphere of an alpine village. Lots to see and do in the area, here is the Carinthia newly recommended. We were two weeks in August with 5 adults and 2 children aged 8 and 10 years. Wonderful weeks before.

Chalet in Mallnitz in Carinthia near ski area
This large detached chalet for a maximum of 10 people is located in Mallnitz in the Hohe Tauern National Park in Carinthia, right next to the Ankogel ski area.
The chalet has 4 bedrooms, 2 large living rooms, of which the one on the 1st floor can also be used as a lounge, 2 bathrooms, one of which has a hot tub, and a large, modern, fully equipped kitchen. There is also a ski storage room with ski boot warmer and a separate room with a washing machine and dryer in the basement. This chalet also has a large south-facing terrace. Free WiFi is also available and there are parking spaces right next to the chalet.
Families, recreational skiers and freeriders will find excellent conditions for a perfect winter holiday on the Ankogel in Mallnitz. The Ankogelbahn is located in the Hohe Tauern National Park, at the end of the municipality of Mallnitz and is about 25 km from the Mölltaler Glacier ski area with almost 18 km of slopes. There are a total of 18 km of slopes on the Ankogel for skiing and snowboarding. Another ski area, the Schneeerlebnisland Flattach, is located in Flattach, about 15 minutes away by car. In winter, the ski bus stops 500 m from the chalet.
Mallnitz also has a number of lakes, the Stappitzer See in the Seebachtal is well known, but there are also beautiful mountain lakes for cooling off after a hike, or public swimming pools in Mallnitz and the neighboring communities such as the Tauernbad Mallnitz with sauna area. There are many beautiful hiking trails and various sights in Mallnitz and the surrounding area.
Directly in Mallnitz there are enough shops for daily needs as well as a good selection of restaurants.
