In the area there are hiking trails, including Bohusleden, as well as various excursion destinations such as Älgafallet, a magnificent waterfall with a height of 46 m, well worth a visit. Take a trip across the border to Norway and Halden for a visit to Fredriksten Fortress or why not to Strömstad, a city by the sea with a wide selection of activities during the summer, rich restaurant life, pleasant shopping in small shops that are located close to each other and if you feel like a salty, cooling dip in the summer heat, it is a short distance to the sea, cliffs and swimming, feel free to take one of the bathing boats out to one of the islands in the Strömstad archipelago. From Strömstad there is also a ferry out to the Kosteröarna, Sweden's westernmost islands with a permanent population.
