Thehouse was built in the early 1800’s and features a large kitchen with a wood burning stove and an electric stove. The house has been maintained in it’s original style but features a modern kitchen and a tiled bathroom.The bedroom features a Wood stove and a double bed with a beautiful 19th century headboard. The landning on the upper floor is furnished and suitable for relaxing and spending time together. The garden is large and includes garden furniture. There is also a wood fuelled sauna. The lake is only fifty metres from the house, the sea is one kilometre from the house and both offer fishing opportunities. The owner has a rowing boat that you can book and the owner also provides five life vests. There are several beautiful golf courses in Uppland. The closest ones are Väddö golf course, only four kilometres away, and Hallstavik, fifteen kilometres away. Älmsta, 3 kilometres away, offers two golf courses, one with gravel and one that is paved.

On the bottom floor, there's a kitchen, a living room with a sofa suite and a TV, and a bathroom with a WC, a washbasin, and a shower. On the second floor, there are three bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms have two single beds in each. The third bedroom has one single bed and a cot. Two of the bedrooms are rooms you must pass through to get to the next bedroom. Note that there is no possibility to charge electric cars at this house. The seaside is within walking distance, only 900 metres from the cottage. Kungshamn, Smögen, and Hunnebostrand are all about 10 kilometres away. Golfers will enjoy Sotenäs Golfklubb. Sotenäs has a top notch 27-hole golfing course. In Smögen you will find plenty of shops and restaurants, and the famous dock Smögenbryggan. Here you will also find Nordens Ark, a park for endangered animal species and a petting zoo with farm animals. There are plenty of other lovely towns and attractions in the area. Furholmen or Kosteröarna but also to neighboring Norway. It is also possible to rent a boat or kayak for your own exploration trips. If you bring your own ipad or another similar device, you can stream content through the internet connection. The cottage is open-plan and features a small kitchen area with the basic amenities, and a living room with an open fireplace and a TV with parabole channels. The bedroom is equipped with two bunk beds and sleeps a total of four people. You enter the bathroom from the outside of the house, it is equipped with a WC and a washbasin. The shower is in the annex. The living room opens onto a terrace with outdoor furniture and a garden grill. The cottage is set on a natural garden plot and the owners live in the house next door. There's also a SPA 200 metres from the house. The cottage is within driving distance of a number of charming towns and tourist attractions, such as the island of Öland and the town of Kalmar. The children will really enjoy Astrid Lindgren's World in Vimmerby. Katthult and Bullerbyn, well known from Astrid Lindgren's beloved children's books, are also close. Or why not take a daytrip to Mariannelund and find out how sweets were made in the olden days? The Kingdom of Crystal, Glasriket, is another interesting destination. This is where the famous Kosta Boda glass is made. Västervik is also well worth a visit, offering shopping, beaches, folk music, and many events. You can rent bedlinen for 150 SEK/ person. The chirping of birds and a lush green nature are the first things you meet in this charming cottage. Here you definitely get a sanctuary from the noise of the big city and other things that disturb. Here you can live in an incredibly cozy cottage with a simple standard, almost like living in a mountain cottage with grass on the roof. Downstairs you have an open floor plan with kitchen, living room with dining table and a sofa bed. There is also a cozy stove. In the cottage there is a loft with three single beds. There is a toilet but the shower is in a detached building about 30 meters from the cottage. On the plot outside there is a large lovely lawn and a small nice pond. You have access to a brick barbecue that can be seen in the pictures. Near the cottage is Lake Ygden which has good fishing waters. Here you can fish for perch, pike, bream and pikeperch. The forests around the cottage are full of berries and mushrooms if you like to go out into nature. Only eight kilometers from the cottage is Tingsryd and here are several shops and the famous department store Börjes. There is also an adventure pool / indoor pool, mini golf, paddle, tennis and more. For those of you who like to be in nature, it is close to Åsnen National Park where you can cycle and hike among lots of sights. Less than an hour's drive away, you are down by the sea and can visit Karlskrona, Ronneby and Karlshamn, among other places, which are really nice summer gems. If you want to go to a bigger city, it is only 60km to Växjö. Bathing can be done in several places around the cottage. The closest is to swim from a jetty about five km from the cottage, but if you want a really good bathing place with beach, kiosk, etc., Mårdslycke in Tingsryd or Nabbens camping outside Linneryd is recommended. In the beautiful nature outside Sandhem you will find this beautiful old farm that can become your very own summer idyll. Rullstensåsar shapes the hilly landscape in the surroundings, which really invites one to go out and discover on foot. In a rural setting, with a private location is the renovated farm from the late 1800s. The rooms are large and airy with plenty of space for 7 people. The kitchen has been renovated in 2021 and is brand new, but the charm is well maintained and the kitchen will easily become the heart of the house during your stay. A nature reserve with a trail over 350 years old of 2 kilometers or the 5 kilometer long cultural walk on Gyljerydsmon, you will pass several important places in the town's early history. Mighty traces from the ice age in a very beautiful and varied landscape. Near the house flows Tidan and Lake Stråken. Every year, many thousands of fishermen fish in Stråken, which is almost 30 km long but at most 500 m wide. Here you will find both precious fish and ordinary freshwater fish as well as plenty of implanted crayfish. It is possible to rent a canoe at Kyrkekvarn's canoe center which is 7 km from the house.
