The small town was previously a well-known seaside resort and is now a well-preserved community with two nice bathing spots, one of Bohuslän's finest tennis courts and excellent hiking trails close to the knots. Here is also the well-known Nösunds Värdshus with a good restaurant and entertainment by famous artists. Feel free to make an excursion to the nearby picturesque island of Lyr which can be reached by free car ferry with crossing in just 3 minutes. Lyrön was formerly called a Bohuslän in miniature with its bare, barren sea side and green, leafy inside. Here are ancient monuments from the Bronze Age, idyllic, green surroundings with small roads and several nice bathing places. On the island there is also the well-visited Restaurant Bryggvingen which also has a fish shop and is open in summer. The summer at Orust offers many goodies in the form of festivals and events. The city of Gothenburg with the well-known amusement park Liseberg 80 km. Extra bed suitable for children is available on request. This cozy holiday home is located on the larger archipelago island of Vindö off Stockholm and is ideal for a relaxing family holiday on the archipelago coast. The house stands on top of a small hill and is bright and comfortably furnished with a slightly nostalgic touch. The house has a bedroom with a double bed and a sleeping alcove with bunk beds for children. Adjacent to the quite spacious kitchen is the dining and living area with a beautiful fireplace for cooler days. Small bathroom with toilet, shower cubicle and washing machine. Internet connection available, but no TV.The holiday home also has an inviting, glazed veranda with access to the open terrace area. The house is a very nice vaccation home for the family with children. The associated natural property is spacious and very hilly, with both rocks and trees and a small greenhouse. There is also a level surface on which the garden trampoline invites you to play and have fun (use only at your own risk!). The coast and the sea as well as a bathing jetty and a floating jetty are 450 m away. Vindö is a larger island in Stockholm's central archipelago, accessible via a bridge. The sea, swimming and nature are very popular here. The holiday home is just over 3 km from Djurö, where there is a grocery store and a restaurant. A few kilometers further is Djurönäset with a day spa, restaurant and cultural entertainment in summer. At the other end of Vindö you will find the Sollenkroka ferry port, from where the so-called Waxholms boats go to the individual islands such as Sandhamn or Möja.

The cottage is incredibly nicely surrounded by historic sites, pilgrimage trails and beautiful views. The cottage was renovated in 2015 with new wallpaper and with bright decor and maintains a very good standard. The house is on one floor and here is a bedroom, living room, kitchen and shower with toilet. Inside the toilet there is also a washing machine. You are welcomed into a large hall and directly to the left you enter the kitchen. Spacious kitchen with large dining area for at least 6 people. Next to the kitchen is the bedroom with a bunk bed, 140 cm wide lower part and 80 cm wide upper part. Exit directly from the bedroom to the lovely terrace but views of green pastures and grazing cows. Next to the bedroom you will find a bright large living room with comfortable sofa bed 140 cm wide and TV in the room for cool summer evenings. About 10 minutes from the cottage is Husaby church and the diocese's castle ruins. Next to the church there is a spring, where according to legend Olof Skötkonung around the year 1000 was baptized as the kingdom's first Christian king. Just outside the cottage is also a pilgrimage trail so is very popular. The city of Skövde is 40 minutes by car from the house, otherwise there is a lot to offer in Kinnekulle, historic churches and amazing rock carvings in Götene. The owner lives on his own plot about 20 m from your house but the cottage's entrance is separated. A great opportunity for those who want to live in the country with the proximity of friends' shallow beaches, historic environments and to be able to enjoy and relax!

Not far from the historic Varnhem you live in a modern fresh little cottage with proximity to swimming in the middle of a scenic area. The cottage is best suited for a couple or a small family of three. The cottage was built in 2012 and is very well planned. You are greeted by a large inviting terrace with outdoor furniture where you can sit at will and after the sun sets. In the cottage there is a small kitchen corner and here you will find the most necessary utensils. More accessories are on the shelves under the TV, including cutlery and microwave. The kitchen is a combined living room with a sofa bed 140 cm wide. To the right you will find the bathroom with toilet and shower. To the left of the kitchen corner you will find the bedroom with a bunk bed 90 cm wide and wardrobe. Walk through the garden down a small path down to Rinnaren, a small lake with a jetty and where there is sun in the morning, so why not start the day with a morning dip. Here you also pass a public boules court on a nice lawn for the public. If you want a larger bathing area with restaurant, toilet, sausages and ice cream kiosk, you can take a 10 minute walk to Flämslätt. The owner of the cottage has a summer cottage on a common plot about 50 m from your house. The cottage is only 10 minutes from Varnhem's monastery ruins where you can have coffee and experience one of many beautiful pilgrimage routes. If you want excitement, you can choose to visit Skara summerland, about 15 km from there or play on Axvalla trotting track which is also about 15 km from there. Good to know about the cottage: We recommend short showers when the water heater is small and plug in when you arrive.
