Heel charmant huis met mooie tuin en mooi uitzicht over de bergen. Alles was perfect in orde en zeer proper. Het contact met de eigenaar verliep ook erg vlot. Mooie omgeving. Het huis ligt in een dorpje met een klein winkeltje waar je brood en wat kleinigheden kan kopen, da's handig. Enige nadeel is dat de dichtstbijzijnde stad (met supermarkt) zeker een half uur rijden is. Dus als je uitstapjes wil maken ben je wel even onderweg.

Beautiful authentic French house. On arrival with the manager at the church square, who accompanied us to the house. There he made us know completely in French so some knowledge of the language is very useful. He does his very best (is relieved to have his dictionary not needed ...) and is very friendly and helpful. The house is fully equipped. The only downside is the bathroom. This is in a kind of cellar vault (looks idyllic). Very low so that shower is difficult, the shower head can not be hung and splashes in a lot of water. There is no ventilation possible. The Ardèche is beautiful walking or cycling. The village of St. Julien de Gua is small, but has a shop with a depot of pain and a bar. The residents are very friendly. Surrounding there are beautiful sleepy hamlets and villages. Some larger places like Val les Bains, Privas, Aubenas and Avignon are recommended.

We thought it was a lovely house to relax and enjoy the peace, nature and view. Plenty of privacy. We would love to go there again.

For six people fine for the living and sleeping area. Kitchen also fine.Bathroom decides to be small. In the toilet section my husband could not stand. (Luckily there was a toilet above that). And also shower in the bathtub definitely not comfortable. Shower not hung. Etc. after the shower the whole bathroom was rocky. The terrace and the garden were fantastic. Great view and although the terrace was facing the street, nobody could see you because of the height. So very private. All kind of welcome and comprehensive explanation.

Charming holiday home with well-kept garden located in the very quiet village. The nature in the area is beautiful and you can walk well. There is no parking on the domain. We always found a parking space on the church square.

Nice house in a beautiful and peaceful setting. Less suitable for people with walking difficulties (lots of stairs) or tall people (bed 1.90 m). Friendly reception. New Epicerie (Sept. 2016), where bread can be ordered. 1st Sunday (you can not buy yet) and Monday (Epicerie closed) so much self control in some other way. Many hiking (excellent signage) and cycling. Supermarket Privas.Wifi well suited for phone, Whatsapp etc., less suited for online gaming (too slow). Fresh air and tranquility. Price / performance ratio is in order!

If you comme from the A7 motorway :

Leave the A7 motorway at Â« le Pouzin Â» exit( after Â« Valence Sud Â»).
> Take the road to Â« Privas Â».
> Go througt Â« Privas Â« following Â« Aubenas Â« road.
> About 10 km after Â« Privas Â« , and one km after Â»col de lâ€™arenier Â« take a road on the right Â« : Mezilhac, saint Julien du Gua. Â» Go ahead to the Â« col de la Fayolle Â».There turn on the right on a downhill road to St Julien du Gua ( 3,5 km).
> In the village follow the instructions which are in my mail.
> From the motorway to our home : quite one hour, more or less, average.

In the village : you go to the â€œSTOPâ€.

Then you turn on your right and â€œLe Pigeonnier is the first house on the right after the local school.
