Suvereto Suvereto lies 20 km from the Tuscan coast and is a village with medieval grandeur, surrounded by city walls with eight towers. To do in the vicinity; Massa Marittima (28 km) for example is a charming medieval town perched on a hill. At Piombino (25 km) you get on a ferry that takes you to the Portoferraio harbor. In one day, it is impossible to explore the whole island, but you can sample some of the atmosphere and the crossing of the island in car is already a spectacle in itself. You could also stay overnight and rent a car to explore the whole island. Beautiful nature is also on display in Maremma Natural Park, which extends along the coast.
