We were a group of about 15, most of us from London, and it was wonderful to experience Winterberg in early December. Even though there wasn't any snow, we enjoyed several of the local hiking areas, as well as the town of Winterberg and local restaurants. The house itself is beautiful and easily accommodated our group with enough privacy while the communal areas were fantastic for our group events. The owners do live on the property and share the same entrance, but they were very respectful of our space during our visit.

- Windows throughout the house dirty.
- Rooms not aired, resulting in a musty smell.
- Some rooms stank of smoke.
- Shower curtain in room 6 was rotten.
. Smell of sewage in the sauna, so it could only be used after 2 days.
- Smell of sewage in some bathrooms, very strong in room 7.
- Some of the kitchen equipment was dirty, e.g. the pans.
- Broken road salt bag served as a doorstop - very bizarre.
- Grill with dirty grate and rotten old coal had to be cleaned for an hour before it could be used.
- Boule court not usable.
- Room 5 was not available and we had no information about it. We therefore had to find an alternative ourselves.
- As an emergency solution, we were given a room on the 2nd floor. This was not prepared and the bed linen smelled of smoke and had to be replaced.
- The baby bed that had been ordered was not available and was only brought at 11 p.m. after repeated requests. The baby therefore had to sleep on a mattress on the floor. Parents and child hardly slept that night.
- There were not enough chairs in the dining room for the number of people booked.
- White bucket seat chairs were partially broken and had to be repaired by us.
- There was no instruction, as is usually the case. We were only given the key and left to our own devices.
- The owner (probably you) walked through the house late at night without notice. This frightened the children because they suspected a burglar.
Overall, the house was apparently not checked as one would normally expect and was not made available to us clean and in order as booked.

This year we have our families with 15 people in the Big Country House verbracht.Das house is very pretty and the rooms were appealing. Also the common room was very nice and ideal for large groups. The garden we were due to the weather but little use but also was fine. There were some deck chairs, which were however partly not to exploit. In good weather you could have outdoor seating, but there were only two tables with beer Bänken.Besteck and crockery sufficient for large groups present, otherwise the kitchen is stocked but rather sparse and relatively small. There is an industrial dishwasher, which is completed within 2 minutes and a large gas stove with oven, where you can cook just fine. My tip addition dishtowels take and inquire in advance whether all the utensils you need for cooking, are present, and if not bring himself! The owners, who live in the same house, were very friendly and offen.Alles in all it was a nice stay in a pretty house, but with small drawbacks.

We stayed for our feelings in a hotel. All rooms at least a shower, sink and toilet and a TV. Wifi coverage throughout the huis.Goed equipped kitchen. So for our club, we were sixteen cyclists. The ideal venue to serve as a base for our cycling trips. Come back there for sure.
