Pietrasanta, 9 kilometers away, is a charming village with narrow streets and many trattorias, where there are also various marble workshops. The marble comes from the white marble mountains from Carrara, 24 kilometers away. You cannot miss a tour there. A day trip to Lucca is also a great experience; there you can walk and even cycle over the imposing city wall. In Viareggio you will find a colorful weekly market every Thursday and you can buy freshly caught fish early in the morning in the marina
