We were with our extended family about 25 people over the weekend here. We were very satisfied. Rooms and lounges were great, however, could be more storage space in the rooms and bathrooms. The playground could be more developed, but otherwise everything was great.

Very neat holiday home with plenty of space for our large group. Well equipped kitchen and utility room with drinks fridge and target cupboard / freezer. The many counters for water, heating and electricity were very accurately noted at the start and on departure. The swimming pool was a hit for the kids. The games room, sauna and jacuzzi were used a lot and everything worked as it should.
The owners are very strict when making the settlement of the deposit. Allen knows his price!

Beautiful accommodation. Cozy house with enough space. All looked neat. The bed in the downstairs bedroom may be replaced. This is very hard and creaks on all sides. We did not have any water on Sunday evening. We did not get the homeowner on the phone. The advantage is that the homeowner lives in front of the house so we could call. Unfortunately not at home. When he came home a little later he solved the problem within 5 minutes. Final conclusion top house!

The house is in a beautiful area from which you can make beautiful walks. Everything is sufficiently provided for large groups. We stayed there with 25 people including children. A minus was perhaps the sound insulation. The sound of the living space is well heard in the rooms above. We were lucky because the weather was beautiful allowing us to sit on the terrace for a long time. Nice garden with lots of possibilities. Nice swimming pool with the advantage that it can be covered or used in open air. (not deep) We had a very nice holiday.

Friendly welcome by the owners! Accommodation fairly good, minus the showers. The water supply (pressure) was irregular so we had to jump back and forth because the water in turn became stone cold or very hot. Have reported this to the owner, but did not get better. Too little closet space in the bedrooms. Environment is beautiful, you can walk well. Swimming pool ideal for the children. Shopping offer in Vielsalm is good.

We rented the house for 4 days. The handover took place without any problems. The accommodation is clean and cozy. The garden is a good size and fenced in, so good for children and dogs. There is plenty of parking and shopping is only a few minutes away. The only thing that bothered me is that the silicone in some of the showers wasn't that great/mouldy anymore, and it had to be replaced. Otherwise we were very satisfied.

Vacuum cleaner that no longer sucked properly... air hockey was broken...
Toilet that ran through and some doors that could not be locked. And a lot of lamps were broken...

Good bedrooms and clean bathrooms on the upper floor, Kitchen, dining room and sitting area shows wear and tear (age, overuse?). Pool is OK and is good to use by the small children. Jacuzzi and sauna not used. Quantity and arrangement of furniture in dining room, kitchen and sitting room create structural disorder. Living space (sitting, moving) is not very practical and creates chaos. Neat and ample parking on the road, Large walled garden with toys and plenty of chairs and tables. Very nicely furnished holiday home for many (max. 31) people with a covered pool, jacuzzi, large garden and more than enough crockery, glasses, etc., everything you need for a shared kitchen.
The bathrooms and rooms lack storage space and sufficient towel racks.
We knew from the start that a deposit of 900 euros plus the amount for final cleaning and bed linen (if booked) would have to be paid. The fact that these around 1400 euros have to be paid in cash before you get the house key is a little strange. Only with a lot of talking were we finally able to carry the one suitcase with the money into the house and unpack it there.
The same thing happened when we moved out: the suitcases were packed and stowed in the car, the meter readings were taken and the consumption (according to normal rates!!) was determined. In our case (18 people) we had to pay almost 700 euros for electricity, water and heating. Pretty steep! How much would it have cost if we had used the sauna or if it had been winter? This has to be paid in cash, credit cards or anything like that are not acceptable and it cannot be offset against the deposit paid at the beginning. So it's the same old story again: open the trunk, take out the suitcase, take out the cash, pay the bill - only this time on the street. It's really a disgrace. It doesn't matter because we'll never go there again.

We had a nice week with the family.
Just a pity that only half of the jets of the jacuzzi worked. The air hockey table did not work at all. And what I thought was the worst thing was that after we reported that there was a wasp's nest near the shed of the jacuzzi, nothing was done about it.
The pool, on the other hand, was lovely.

The photos gave a better impression than reality. There is a veranda extension to the living room and kitchen without sun blinds, which makes it sweltering inside on hot days. 2 fans cannot fix this.
We paid 685.29 euros for water and energy for a week in the summer at the settlement. We did not use the sauna or heating. Outside the summer, these costs will increase. If you add up rent and consumption, you arrive at a considerable sum and the price/quality ratio for this property is negative.
The cover of the swimming pool was defective on arrival and could not be opened. This made it swelteringly hot for 3 days in the closed outdoor pool. After 3 days this was resolved but no response to our request for compensation.
Because the bedrooms could not be darkened, we applied aluminum foil to 2 bedroom windows. Afterwards, traces of limescale remained visible. These can be removed with household vinegar. However, the owner decided to retain 177 euros from our deposit without any justification. We found out that as a tenant we only have obligations and no rights and the owner has the deposit in his hands. So we are powerless. We have been renting a holiday home in the Ardennes for more than 15 years, but this is the most expensive and worst experience ever.

Het huis was best ok. Bedden waren goed. Voorzieningen goed. Locatie goed. Leuke lokale bierbrouwer op loopafstand.
Maar de achterafkosten gas-water-licht waren immens hoog. We verbleven een midweek maandag 16.00 mochten we er pas in en vrijdag 9.00 u in de ochtend moesten we er weer uit. En een achteraf rekening van €850!
En dat voor omgerekend 3,5 dag is abnormaal veel. Dat was een domper.
Ze houden je borg tot 2 weken na vertrek. Terwijl de eindafrekening en check ook ter plekke afgehandeld had kunnen worden. Erg omslachtig en achterdochtig. Het geeft al met al geen goed gevoel.
We komen al 15 jaar jaarlijks met een grote groep naar de Ardennen maar een dergelijke onsympathieke en dure ervaring hebben we nog nooit meegemaakt. Jammer.

Amid the Belgian Ardennes in Vielsam, this is a holiday home with rustic furnishings. It has a private sauna and bubble bath to stretch out and unwind after a long day. The home is ideal for a large get together or reunion with family and friends.
The forests at 100 m from the home are perfect to go for walking. Meer van Doyards lake rests at 5 km and invites you for a pleasant walking and sunset watching experience. Supermarkets and restaurants are also at 5 km. You can visit the ski slopes of Baaraque de Fraiture, the waterfalls of Coo, Stavelot Abbey and La Roche-en-Ardenne.
