For the third time in a row we have been guests in the oasis of peace in Goumeix. It feels like coming home now. With most holiday homes, either the house is very beautiful, or the view, or the surroundings or the weather. Here, for the third time in a row, everything was just right. The house is very clean and well equipped. The new furniture in the living room makes it even more beautiful than it already was. The view will never bore you. In the morning with a cup of coffee on the deck watching the sunrise or in the evening admiring the extensive starry sky in this dark part of France. The surroundings invite you to go for a walk. Download the Komoot app and the walks will pop up, and everything is well indicated. You have to be lucky with the weather, but thanks to the roof with the fireplace, it is also wonderful to stay outside at cooler times. Add to that a large and lovely swimming pool, some dormice for entertainment in the evening and the good care of Jeroen and Catherine. This can be called a holiday.

The quiet location, a comfortable house with a large and warm swimming pool and outdoor area with fireplace made it a pleasant experience again. We were warmly welcomed on arrival. We were tired of our trip, but the tour was short but powerful. We knew the most important things and were able to enjoy our well-deserved holiday afterwards. What a beautiful house and the environment, to be quiet. It was even more beautiful than on the pictures. All was present in and around the house, really enjoy. And the silence of the area was wonderful, we really have come to rest and were able to get full of energy again. Also our children of 3 and 1 year have enjoyed, in and around the pool.And if we could not swim once due to the weather, the children could have fun in the house.Also the adults were thought, many games and reading books were aanwezig.Een story, but in short ...... Repeatable !!!

House is perfect, everything is there and in very good condition. Been with family with 3 children (9, 9 and 12), early May. The children swam every day in the wonderfully heated swimming pool (temp 29 degrees). Garden is beautifully landscaped, lots of space and privacy. Great view, several seats in the garden. Beautiful recently restored farmhouse in the quiet French countryside. What was extra good about our stay was that it was wonderfully sunny weather and that's why it felt like a summer vacation ...

This place and the house is a wonderful and special place.Everything is create and done with passion and on a very high quality standard. We switched to holiday mood right away on arrival. The view is spectacular and the every day living experience is awesome. So We treasured the factthat driving to Either Limoges or Brive by car is reasonable with 60-90 minutes. The shopping mall in Chateneuf la Foret is pretty close by (10 minutes drive).

Wow, was the first thing we said to each other as we drove through the area on our way to the holiday home. When we arrived, the managers were already waiting for us and we were kindly welcomed. We got a tour of the villa, which is really beautiful. Fully equipped and even more beautiful than in the pictures! We lacked nothing, everything was there. A beautiful heated swimming pool, good beds, complete inventory and breakfast every morning on the balcony with a phenomenal view and every evening under the canopy enjoy the fireplace! We will definitely come back!

We were assisted by a very friendly English-speaking manager of the accommodation who gave a short but powerful tour with an explanation where needed, for example with regard to the use of the swimming pool. The house is fully equipped and the various terraces are wonderful. The hedge swimming pool is large and heated and the area is wonderfully quiet. Except for the birds and the occasional cow, you hear nothing. Nice villages within a 10-minute drive by car for all necessary groceries and petrol. Also very good and fast communication with Jeroen and Catherine themselves on Sunday, ideal! Highly recommended!

We were 6 people and our dog in the house, at the end of August 2022. Waking up every morning with a beautiful view. Delicious breakfast on the terrace and in the evening made use of the BBQ. In the afternoon you sit on the terrace in the shade and the large heated swimming pool is in the sun until the evening, which is wonderful to relax. In the evening you can make the evening a lot longer under the shelter with fireplace. That was so much fun! The house is top finished and equipped with all the comforts you need. A complete kitchen, washing machine and dryer, but also a nice bathroom with shower, bath and toilet. Sleep on very nice mattresses. All in all, we were able to spend a wonderful week in a very nice, clean and well-kept house with maximum privacy. We enjoyed! Very nice holiday home with a beautiful view. Very clean, very nice pool, very well equipped kitchen and nice bathroom. You are at the end of a dead end street of more than a kilometer with no other (inhabited) houses. So peace and privacy are guaranteed. The welcome was also super friendly. There was also a lot of tourist information in the cupboard. And I was able to charge my electric car at the socket in the garage.2 points for attention:1) There are dormice in the attic. These are sweet and cute and not dangerous at all, but make a lot of "riot" at night. Had we known this beforehand we would have brought earplugs. So if you are a light sleeper I would definitely recommend this. You certainly do not advise against choosing this house.It is really a top house.2) There is no air conditioning in the bedroom and despite the mosquito nets, we did not dare to leave the windows open at night because of the dormice. Air conditioning would certainly have been a plus.

A few hours in advance call the manager to let you know the time you arrived, so there was also when we arrived. Also on the last day he came to arrange the meter position and return the remaining deposit. House is well-designed! Living room spacious, tidy, comfortable. Kitchen is spacious, tidy chairs and table a little less comfortable. Kitchen with everything on and on. Outside is great. Lots of space around the whole house! With nice weather you can enjoy yourself here. Overcrowding is great by day and evening! There is a lot of equipment description, including the swimming pool, and everything in Dutch, really very nice. Three bedrooms all tidy. Bathroom large and tidy. On the warm days the bedrooms were very hot, but windows could open allowing it to cool down at the end of the night. Also very nice, horror for the windows of the bedrooms! Last day of stay we had light leakage from the bathroom into the kitchen. Two days after we were home, the owner called to let the mice have pierced the drain pipe and it was now cool, super neat so! This is a house to be sure to come back!

Arrival is very good. A welcoming reception by an administrator who has been involved in this house from the beginning of the renovation, so, it knows, and you really treat as a guest. The house is very quiet, with a truly beautiful view. The lovely private swimming pool is even good at even lower temperatures, because the water stays well on temperature due to the sealing. The house is neat, is in new condition, has a very complete kitchen, nice clean bathroom and lovely bedrooms. Nice spacious terraces and cozy fireplace. Perfect for holidaying with (very) young children. In our opinion, some small beds are some soft beds. But that's a matter of course, of course.

We have had a wonderful holiday in this beautiful house. Wake up with the birds, cows and goats and fall asleep with the squirrels and bats. The pool is salt water and it was a neat experience. We had a lot of warm days, so the water was warmed up well. The house is a Dutch couple that will make you slicer and bread knife can leave home. They have a lot of time and love invested in the renovation of this old farmhouse. Despite that, with three small children on stage were we feature come back at all!

despite a full week of rain, the house offers plenty of comfort in order to make it a pleasant stay. The wood stove provides cozy warmth and the kitchen is well equipped with cooking equipment and supplies with the lovely local produce. our second week it was pleasantly warm outside and we could also use the pool. this house lived up to our expectations and offered stunning views of the valley and the rest was so delicious. you only hear the cows, sheep, birds and birds of prey.
