What a great house in a fantastic location! Thanks to the warm welcome from the friendly owners and the sympathetic English-speaking caretakers, the holiday feeling starts soon, even before the suitcases are properly unpacked. Everything is neatly and well equipped, the spacious swimming pool is top! Enjoy the setting sun on the cozy covered terrace in an oasis of peace without neighbors. The wooden floor on the first floor does creak, but hey, it is vacation. ..Both toilets are on the first floor, so it is good that there is still a third toilet in the storage room outside.Verteillac has a nice center and there is already a bakery with tasty bread. (Cycling distance) In the nearby Saint-Martial-Viveyrol you can eat at "Chez Moran" a five-course menu for an amazingly low price and on certain days even with live music. Reservations recommended. In short, holiday home with a prime location and a great base to discover this part of the Dordogne ! Recommended!

Super house with all the infrastructure you could possibly need, spacious garden and nice swimming pool. It was pleasant to find that all kinds of cleaning products and culinary supplies were standard. Some downside the top floor floor where 2 bedrooms and the Bathrooms are, can make quite a noise.

beautiful location and beautiful house. Went with our 3 children. A lot of space . creaky floor but that is authentic at this French house :) Lovely spacious private swimming pool which is cleaned once a week. Everything in the house can be used !! Wifi inside is good, but not because of the thick walls, well, it's vacation. These thick walls keep it relatively cool downstairs. Super friendly manager, English. Delicious wine was ready for us. Verteillac is easy to reach on foot, a short km takes about 8-10 minutes. Nice square with various shops. Good bakery, English bar / bistro with even a Dutch service. For the market you better go to Riberac. In the village there was a flea market when we were there, very nice and extensive Actually just had a great holiday, for more popular castles and so it is 1.5 to 2 hours away, but we are Frisians so are used to something and it is a beautiful environment For people who want peace ... top

We have now been there for the second year. It is ideal if you like peace and quiet. The English speaking administrators take good care of the house. Nicely clean and spacious pool, the lawn is mowed once a week, they are always there for you if there is a problem. Do not go for a lively local nightlife, but the bakery and the remarkable but certainly worth seeing supermarket are excellent. The Saturday market is fascinating, meeting point of the British community in the local café, Le Calice. Go and watch!

Beautiful house with swimming pool, all present.Photos on site are the same as you can expect in person.Rustig located, in town a restaurant and cafe as well as a lovely Bakker.Wel car needed to do groceries (larger shop) 20 min drive. Definitely recommended for those who love peace. Definitely worth repeating. Was in August 2022 at a minimum of 30 degrees.

Beautiful villa in a quiet area next to the sunflower fields and nice view from the garden on nature. You really relax there. Well-kept pool, friendly caretaker and always helpful. Nearby, within walking distance, a pleasant village of Verteillac. Several excursions are possible nearby.Enige minus is no toilet downstairs. This is outside in a separate storage room, so for 1 bedroom you have to go outside "at night. The downstairs bedroom suffers from moisture in the walls. The spider centipedes like to stay in the house, no nice critters, but that's nature. A nice had a holiday there.

Nice to be welcomed on arrival with a bottle of wine, olives and the necessary information about the stay. The birds in the neighborhood ensure a pleasant wake up. Supermarket and bakery are within walking distance. Everything in the house can and can be used. Just a pity that there is no toilet downstairs (or if you are outside during the day in the annex, but for the night this is not so practical.

Beautiful house in a beautiful, quiet location. Too bad that the main tourist attractions of the Périgord are a bit remote. The area surrounding Verteillac also has a few castles, of course, but certainly not the big ones. The swimming pool is an important asset, as is the double American fridge. The fact that you can watch the TV programs from home without a problem is a plus, but with the summer temperatures on site you do not often sit inside watching TV. The description of the property is quite accurate, but both "bathrooms" The bedroom on the ground floor has no toilet or bath available.The second bathroom is also very cramped and contains no more than a shower and a toilet.

Blessed pool but unfortunately not heated so we could use this little due to the bad weather. Very nice garden with lots of privacy.Mooi house where everything is provided! Small downsides are the wooden floors above (which make a lot of noise) and there is only a toilet above.

Lovelyly located with spacious garden and large swimming pool. Nice place for a great holiday. New carport.Verteillac is quite a kilometer walk, partly heuveloped. And the house is very upset because of the wooden floor above.

Very pleasant house, everything was in order, kitchen fully equipped. Only the insulation with the upper floor could be a bit better, but otherwise nothing to complain about! The house is located a kilometer from the very quiet village of Verteillac, with a few local bars including the bar Le Calice. In the summer months, many activities are planned in the bar by the owners, such as performances, quizzes, etc. If you enjoy peace and quiet, then this house is definitely recommended!

We were warmly welcomed by the English-speaking manager. A beautiful house in a beautiful location amidst the sunflowers. The village is not far, but just a bit too far to walk. There are all necessary facilities in Verteillac. The house is a bit older and you can tell by the cracking of the floors. Furthermore, fully equipped.

What a beautiful house in a beautiful and peaceful area! Verteillac is a pleasant village with excellent restaurants. The supermarket in the village is well stocked and the baker has delicious bread, cookies and pastries.
There are plenty of nice trips and beautiful walks to make in the area.
One point for improvement is the cleaning that was done very well. In addition, we did not like the fact that we had to bring our own bed linen, kitchen towels and hand towels. In a holiday home in this price range, that should be available.

This vacation did not start well for us. The pool was crucial for this type of holiday, but the first thing we noticed was the abundance of sand and dirt at the bottom, the surface littered with debris and insects, and the pool edges covered with algae. The house was much better inside, but we had a lot of trouble with spiders, especially in the master bedroom upstairs. When we reported the pool issue, they said the pool company came by weekly and that cleaning the surface was our responsibility. We couldn't use the pool without cleaning the surface for half an hour every day. The system that was supposed to clean the surface was not working well. We also contacted the Belvilla staff, and early on the last morning, the pool company came with a lot of supplies. They replaced the hydro pump and some other parts, and the algae around the pool were cleaned. I don't know if the pool bottom was cleaned because we left at 10:00 AM (or rather, 10:05 AM). The pool made our vacation less enjoyable. While we were unpacking our things, the housekeeper came to ask us, somewhat gruffly, why we hadn't left. She may have been right, but when I started the car, it was already 10:05 AM. Due to our already low morale, this behavior only reinforced it, and we left without greeting anyone. I thank Belvilla for their concern, but I would have liked to have had a nicer vacation.

Accommodation was in general in order, but shame about the outdated furniture (cutlery, pots, pans) Pretty many cobwebs. A dead mouse in the pool filter that for several days there inlagging to the appearance of the mouse! Too soft to replace mattresses , final decision overpaid for what was offered (

Spacious and very well-kept house, good Wifi and TV. Warm welcome with a Welcome wine! Large garden with beautiful pool which we use a lot of makten. Everything in the house worked perfectly, and was everywhere remembered. Special attractively decorated. The village 1km has delicious bakery and butcher. In short, we have had two wonderful weeks.
