The owners of the house have sent us a monthly email for our arrival with a lot of additional information (inventory, directions, suggestions for restaurants and the like). Very nice this going too may ontvangen.Het house is full of character and the garden with swimming pool offers a great value, especially if the weather is nice. We enjoyed the cozy atmosphere, both inside and out.

Supermarket, butcher, shell bakery very appreciated as well as the many visits around: Thiviers and its beautiful market on Saturdays morning, beautiful little villages to discover such as Jumilhac and its very interesting castle, Mialet and its lake, Brantôme, Limoges...Only small downside, the television does not broadcast in French but we did not miss it especially in summer. be provided with a fan in the rooms for the days of great heat wave. The house is beautifully situated, we were wonderfully welcomed by Mario (who really does everything to please) and by the resident through a sweet card and a gift. The house inside was also super, authentic but still with all the comforts for seeing. There were folders so you knew what to do in the area, but also tips for restaurants. And there is also a lot of beautiful things to visit and experience in the area. But a day just enjoy the garden, with swimming pool is also recommended.

Had a wonderful holiday at this beautiful and beautifully private location. The house is practically and comfortably furnished and fully equipped. If you like peace and quiet, this is a must. It also has a lovely swimming pool and a beautiful view of fields with cows and horses.

The location of the house is fantastic, not only the view of the countryside but also the outdoor area, the space around the house with the nice swimming pool are great. The space in the house is even better than expected, especially for 4 people.
There are some amenities that would make the stay even more pleasant, such as a dishwasher and mosquito nets on the windows (it is a fly's paradise).
These small inconveniences certainly do not outweigh the many advantages of this house with its great location.

The check in process was good and the local agent helpful.The house is in a lovely position very quiet and peaceful. It is equipped to good standard. It would be helpful to have some information in the house file in English. The swimming pool is great!

The house is beautifully situated and has a wonderful garden. Also the pool is very nice. The house is however only suitable for a family, as the division of space for several adults in our opinion is inappropriate. The house has everything you need. A TV with broadcasters of different languages is also available, as well as free WLAN. What is a little disturbing is the occasional variety of insects due to the cows grazing directly on the property. For this, the indescribable peace that reigns there and the beautiful view from the terrace. Approximately 2 km from the house you can buy everything for daily use. In the surrounding area you can go for a walk and cycle tours, but the bicycles on site are only conditionally suitable.

The cottage is beautifully situated with a beautiful garden and swimming pool. Unfortunately, we have not been able to enjoy this at all because it is suffocating in and around the house with flies. Because there are no screens, the inside is also completely full of animals. We have been hunting flies every day from early in the morning until late at night and unfortunately have not been able to enjoy our holiday much. Landlord was not prepared to offer us any compensation for this. After a short week we had had enough and left home a few days earlier than planned.

Comfortable house with stunning views of hills, cattle farms and greenery. House with lovely garden and pool. Lots of privacy because the house on a hill with some neighbors farms. Pool is large and largely deep. (Less suitable for families with very small children with lovely children who have swimming certificate). Swimming is not directly on the house, but in the spacious garden. A nice table tennis. Environment is well suited for use of mountain bikes. We had to bring your own bike, but there were two bicycles when we were there. Nice surroundings and beautiful and diverse nature. In the area there can be great canoeing.

This beautiful house is situated in a location nestled among meadows and farms. The cows' morning next to the house. The well-kept house is on a hill and thus overlooks meadows and farms. Due to its location and through the bushes and trees present there is 100% privacy. In the garden (at Utrecht us they would call it a park) is a fairly large pool. We (2 adults and 1 child aged 3 years) have entertained us well, we are much stayed at the house.

We have a fantastic week experienced in this beautiful part hilly Perigord Vert. The beautiful weather has there obviously contributed greatly, but also the beautiful and quiet location of the vacation for those who love nature and privacy. The owners had by way of a welcome bottle of wine and artisan juice to set up, which is always nice! The cottage is sober in terms of comfort features, but very cozy and tastefully decorated, perfect for a nice holiday feeling. Despite its quiet location, the village and the shops not far off, perfect for those "mornings like driving the bike baguette.

Our whole family (with older children) has enjoyed this quiet place in the countryside of the Périgord Noir. Ideal to unwind. We have read a lot, swim, play table tennis, mountain biking, canoe hazards and visited castles. The lovely, large garden in a rural setting perfected our very pleasant stay in this family.

We were there for two weeks and enjoyed the rest, only some cows as neighbors. In warm weather, it is wonderful to dive in the pool. The area is very beautiful, green and mostly quiet. We made beautiful walks and bike rides. We were looking for peace and we have definitely found. Any flaw in our view no heating in the bathroom and no Internet.

Les Vieux Chenes is a beautiful house with a lovely swimming pool set in a large beautiful garden. The house is fully equipped and especially privacy is a big pluspunt.Er is in the area to do but adequate and a lazy day by the pool and / or hammock is definitely a must.

As friends of us very nicely described on their blog: "At the end of the world, just before you fall off, is the French village" La Coquille "." A week in Les vieux chênes stood before us guarantees total relaxation: read a book, swim in the pool, delicious barbecue every night, "evening open hearth and enjoy an incredibly beautiful starry sky. The only sounds you hear are the sounds of the various birds that fly, the "cow neighbors", the occasional tractor, goats, sheep and dogs from the neighbors and a braying donkey when he's not at z 's sense. Cottage is very fully equipped, making it seem no holiday, but a full house. We have seen nothing of the environment? Certainly! Grab nice car for some nice little tour with highlights Hautefort and Brantôme. Enjoy!

We ziin hospitably received by the gardener and the key of the house and from the beginning we were in love with the location. What a beautiful place with beautiful views and friendly cows as neighbors! The house itself suited us fine giant: large kitchen with access to a large living room with a fireplace! Romantischer can not! Spacious bedrooms with great views of the surrounding area made the picture complete. The pool offered the necessary cooling and relaxation after excursions undertaken. We have done a lot and seen, from kayaking to visiting local castles, chapels etc. Plenty to do and see at least with something for everyone in the house as a perfect base to relax. We'll definitely have to come back, because there is still so much beauty to discover!

We have a wonderful holiday experience. The house was clean and well equipped. The atmosphere was typical french. The house was remote and there was no traffic or any contact with other people. This stand was very enjoyable especially if you're very aware of privacy to relax. The first major town was 1 hour away. Sat in the village is a large supermarket and all you need but there was no bar or other entertainment gelegenheid.De care of the house owner and hostess were great. However, running the garden around the house making it very steeply, however, restrictions with him. play, young children, etc.De gardener has done his best quite perfect, pool cleaning, etc.

Our holiday was very special because it was our honeymoon with our two children. We enjoyed the first minute to the last.
