We were surprised by the quality of the items in the house; all excellent! Taste is debatable, but comfortable furniture is worth its weight in gold. The kitchen was also more than fully equipped. The rental price is very reasonable and the extra costs (energy, etc.) were also not too bad.
Angela welcomed us with an extensive tour with explanations, which helped us navigate the rest of our stay. Outside there is a lot of extra space in a quiet garden, again with pleasant garden furniture. We were there with 9 adults. In short, we will go again, because we have not yet seen everything in the area.

Our family with 6 adults and 3 small toddlers spent a wonderful week (1st week in May) in this holiday home in Amel. Partly thanks to the beautiful weather where we were able to enjoy a fantastic garden with sheltered spots from the wind and plenty of play equipment for the children to keep you from getting bored. The house is also spacious with enough bedrooms and sanitary facilities for our family. Also in the house plenty of games and play areas. Kitchen design where nothing is missing. We were kindly received on arrival and familiarized with it. Owners live next door and always willing to answer questions should anything happen. You can reach nice trips such as Plopsaland and an indoor paradise within an hour's drive. Fam. van Hassel

we (family with 3 boys aged 8,6 and 3 years) had two wonderful weeks in Schoppen. The house has somewhat dated furniture, but is fully equipped (also in the kitchen), and lots of space. There was also plenty to do for the boys, both inside and outside the house. They have great fun with the municipal playground next to the house, the schoolyard with a football goal and basket and of course the bikes and scooters that were present. There are also many places seats where you can sit outside and / or eten.Ook was the reception very warmly. In short, a very nice house!

Therefore, a first meeting was no longer necessary, the children immediately returned their way back to the house, the garden and the playground. When we parked the owner came to greet us immediately, a very warm woman! We were six adults and three very young children. Soon we had found our places in the spacious house. Everything was very clean. After an hour we felt totally at home. Google maps there was little to do in the area, but the opposite is true. Plenty of shops nearby and restaurants not too failed. Overall, a great environment. We want this also to see in the summer.

Very big and clean house. Everything was in it. The garden and all the outside games were fatal. The quality for the price was very good. We did not read the voucher in detail so there was no bed linen included but we could rent it for 8 euros pp. And the decoration and fourbiture is old but is charming. The surroundings are beautiful the lake is worth visiting and swimming.

Warm reception. Fully furnished, clean, large house, everything has been thought of. Very suitable for families/friends with or without (younger) children. We were there with 6 adults and 1 child of 6 years. Nice big garden. In a small village opposite church, school and public playground, which brings liveliness (but certainly not disturbing) to the village. Beautiful environment. Walking, there are many walking routes, or cycling on, for example, the flat Vennbahn (old railway line about 2 km away) or in the hills (ebike and mountain bike). A number of trails are nearby or run close to the house. Or follow a beautiful car route. Groceries and eating out in eg Butgenbach, which is located on a beautiful lake. Lots to do in the wider area, eg visit the Francorchamps circuit or go to a beautifully situated brewery with beautiful walking routes and where you can also eat something, near the highest point of Belgium. Had a wonderful week. Worth repeating!

We felt very welcome at Rudi and Angela. The house was perfect for us as a family (kids aged 3 and 1), with two indoor playrooms (with lots of toys, books and puzzles), a fantastic garden with sandpit and trampoline, the shed with bicycles and the like and a playground for the children. door too. From Schoppen we could easily make cycling trips, running and walking. The house was so spacious that we could easily receive visitors. Angela and Rudi were always available if we wanted to know something or just to have a chat. The kitchen is well equipped. We have been there for two full weeks and we have never been bored. A few points to keep in mind: there is a church nearby which makes a lot of noise at 7am and there is at least one rooster nearby; for the garden you have to walk around the house; for shopping you have to drive a few km on beautiful roads and also for a lake; internet is not obvious, there is no (reliable) wifi and little telephone range inside, there were a number of places with reasonable reception inside and outside at the playground that went well too.

Very large holiday home with a nice garden and a playground of the municipality in front of the door. The house is fully furnished and ideal for large families with young children. There are 2 playrooms and many toys are provided. The garden is not directly attached to the house but is safely accessible for young children. The house has no wifi but we knew that in advance. Owners are very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the holiday week.

This spacious villa is located in rural Schoppen, a short distance from the more famous Bütgenbach. The area is very beautiful and lends itself to beautiful walks. For bakeries and shops, you must use the car/bicycle. But beyond that, this holiday home is a real gem! The hostess is very friendly and helpful, and makes it a point of honor to maintain this house well and provide the necessities. The kitchen, for example, is extremely well equipped and caters for large groups. There are 3 toilets, 2 showers and each room has its own sink. Children (and adults) will not be short of anything: two playrooms in the house, a gigantic garden with Petanque court (with extra lighting for nightly parties), a garden house for BBQ, a sunbathing area, an area with toys, bicycles and scooters for the whole family!If that were not enough, there is a municipal playground next door and a municipal schoolyard that is freely accessible, with no passing traffic. The house is quite noisy, a small minus.The balance, however, is very strongly about "great experience" and "absolutely recommended"

The house is in a quiet area but for excursions, it is ideally located. Large, clean house. Only downside is that it creaks when you step up and that the children found scary. (Especially during the night if someone had to go to the toilet). Large garden and plenty of room for the kids to play outside.
