We were in this nice house from 26/4 to 10/5/24.
The host and hostess are very friendly and nothing is too much for them. We felt very welcome with a bottle of wine and homemade goodies. There is absolutely EVERYTHING available in the house. The garden is also very nice with 2 sunbeds and 2 seating areas. The large bedroom has a lovely twin bed. You can do some excellent shopping in Morbach.
We had a lovely walk in the nearby area. We looked up a few hiking trails further away by car. We will definitely come back again.

What a nice house. And what nice people. A wonderful environment for us walkers, at the end of the valley, you can walk straight into the forest. The most complete house ever: heavily insulated, wonderful beds, a very well-equipped kitchen, large windows overlooking the valley and terraces on the south and west. Beautiful garden by the stream, in a wonderfully quiet valley. With the occasional bus. Restaurant 1.7 kilometers away is excellent. Recommended!

We have been coming to this holiday home for years. It is neat, clean and fully equipped.
The peace and quiet is fantastic and you can go anywhere from Merschbach.
The house owners are attentive and helpful. If you need anything you can always contact them.
A warm welcome every time with the turban, a bottle of wine and water in the refrigerator.

For the 2nd time with the Burkart family, and it felt like "coming home".
There is only 1 word for "Fantastic", both the holiday home, the Burkart family and the environment.
Lovely walk again, Trier, Bernkastel-Kues and surroundings. visited, in the immediate vicinity of Burg Ruin Baldenau, also definitely worth it.

We were kindly received with tasty presents. What a wonderful holiday we had! A super nice and complete house, a quiet area, lots of greenery. There is a stream in the garden. Our daughters played wonderfully in the water, caught boats, etc. In addition, a lot of toys were waiting for them on arrival, which was supplemented later. The children had a great time. And we have made good use of the garden furniture / loungers. We did not lack luxury! If we had questions about the area, the owners thought along with us. Big plus of this house: the owner makes the garden tables dry / clean every morning. And regularly asks if there are any towels. There was a whole cupboard full (!), So we had plenty. At the end of the holiday Annette surprised our girls with a gift. You notice everything that they go all the way. A few tips: the gemstone mine in Idar-Oberbach. (For Dutch people: you can follow the tour for free with headphones) We traveled by train from Sehlem to Cochem. Very nice view, especially the last part. In Merschbach we walked to the grill hut on top of the mountain. The Ortelsbruch in Morbach is great fun for children. It is a large playground, where you can immediately take a nice walk; in the meantime you pass a launderette check. All in all a very nice holiday. If possible we will definitely come back again!

For the 6 th time in the Burkart house, Beautiful surroundings A warm welcome from fam Burkart doing everything said is perfect. Recommended to everyone. Beautiful environment between the Flora and the Fauna all the way for Tranquility seekers. It is a shame that they are rated 9.7 and have received a certificate of 2018 and a 10 for the assessment. Super house.

Nice accommodation. Comfortable and fully equipped. Very clean, great beds, more than enough (bath) towels, etc. Friendly and welcoming reception. Quiet location in a beautiful area. From the cottage you can immediately start with different walks and also in the immediate area more than enough hiking opportunities. The only thing you have to realize is that there are no shops or places to eat in the village itself, so if you want to eat out or do the shopping, a car is essential.
