What a lovely base for a restful holiday. Very warm welcome by the owners who live in the adjacent house. The swimming pool offers a wonderful cooling in the hot weather. It is very quiet here, no traffic or other crowds. There are many tourist activities around: towns, old villages, many markets, caves, castles, walks, .... too much to do. This invites you to return.

We had a wonderful holiday! Christelle and Alain are very cordial and do their very best to make you feel comfortable.
We have seen and done a lot in the attractive Dordogne (towns, castles, caves, markets, walks) but also wonderfully rested and enjoyed the peace.
Given the heat in the second week of our stay, it was wonderful to cool off in the pool.
Our daughter made 2 fantastic rides on horses from the riding school.
We would like to go back again!

A beautiful house with lovely pool in a beautiful setting. There are many attractions in the area and a few nice cities. Our children have uncle enjoyed their riding lessons given by the owner.

We've just come back from our holiday in France & have to say we absolutely fell in love with this property. The location is rural & so peaceful. The terrace gets the sun throughout the day & is ideal for watching the sunset in the evening. Everything we needed was available & the owners were lovely. They only speak a little English but with our very basic French, we managed to communicate. It's true that there are no shops nearby & you definitely need a car but if you're prepared then it poses no problem. My Dad & husband found a wonderful boulangerie in Monpazier & you have supermarkets about a 15 minute drive away. The beds were really comfortable, there was plenty of space & the only disappointment was that we had to leave & go back to work. Would we stay here again? Absolutely!! If our local airport flew to Bergerac in April, we'd be booking.

Nice and spacious house with all necessary facilities. Location is also great to discover the region. The children were of course very enthusiastic about all the animals and the chance to ride a horse. The only working point are the mattresses of some beds (very hard). We will be back with pleasure!

Hele mooie rustieke plek in bosrijk gebied. Hier kom je echt tot rust. Huisje zelf is vrij compleet ingericht. Je hebt wel een auto nodig en een goed navigatie systeem.

The main reason that we chose this house was the possibility to make forest rides with the horses of the owner. So we've done that twice. Rare friendly people who welcomed us warmly, we even had dinner one evening at their home and enjoyed a nice apéro. Pay attention they only speak French and limited English. (we speak French so that made the contact very easy) The cottage is small but basically everything is there, the wifi is just not very fantastic. This cottage is located in the heart of the Périgord, you want something you should always do with the car on step. There is plenty to see, experience and do in the area. It is a house on a working "riding school" but we have not had any problems with that. There are chickens and cats walking around who come to say hello every day. When you arrive in the twilight, there are many deer roaming along the forest edges. Un grand merci à Christelle et Alain, on a eu des beaux temps chez vous.

We had a nice holiday in this nice house. A quiet place in the Dordogne, quite remote. The owner gives riding lessons, so there are quite a lot of people on the site. The family itself also has regular visits. We found that no problem, but the real peace seeker may not expect this. The privacy at the pool is not optimal. It is all pretty open. That would be easy to adjust with vegetation. You share the pool with the owners and their guests. The tenant of the holiday home has priority when using the swimming pool. If you do not use it at a certain time, you will be informed if they can use the swimming pool themselves. After a heavy thunderstorm we had no power for about 36 hours and therefore no wifi. Cooking is on stream, so that was difficult. The owner offered that we could cook with them. On departure no money was charged for the dog, as compensation for the power problem. That was neatly resolved in our opinion. Sometimes it is difficult to communicate, but the owner speaks a little bit of English so in general we came together. The owners are pleasant, quiet people who are modest. We are satisfied.

Upon arrival, after a quick search, we were welcomed by the owner who spoke French and we did not.
The house is basically in their backyard. When you sit by the pool you have little privacy because the people who enter the yard can see everything. Owners have a riding school, so many children are in the yard all day long. House is quite mediocre. I first put everything in the dishwasher because it was dirty and sticky. the frying pans that almost have no bottom left and were bent. The shower also needs a thorough cleaning because there was mold on the bottom of the worn glass shower door.
The washing machine in the kitchen does not have a top lid, so you could look straight into the machine with all the electricity, which is not really safe. The beds are moderate and small (120 cm) for 2 people, so we lay down separately to get a little sleep.
Swimming pool was not maintained, we were the last guests for the year and still had 31 degrees. We could maintain the swimming pool ourselves because the owner did nothing about it himself. And on the last day it also turned green and algae came in, so we could no longer use it. The screws of the wooden decking around the pool were sticking out, so you had to be careful where you walked so as not to cut your feet. This house has had an award but is not worthy of it. Setting is beautiful and if you like peace. Around forests. You have to drive half an hour for the supermarket.

Nice very quiet location with many forests, privacy limited by presence owner in neighboring house (and garden). Not recommended to go with several couples considering the small rooms and there is only 1 double bed. New owners (was day 1 for them) did their best to take care of everything as well as possible

We had a very enjoyable holiday in this cottage. It was an ideal base for day trips, once you're used to that you just have to drive to visit or do shopping anything, actually distances are bad. Decent house - including mosquito nets in the bedrooms which was greatly appreciated - and very friendly and helpful owners vlakbij.De children can enjoy themselves in the pool and on the lawn while parents enjoy the tranquility on the sun terrace zwembad.Enige "inconvenient of "was the slow and unstable internet connection. Perhaps it was just a regular overloaded by the higher consumption in the area (tourists) and maybe the heat had also something to do with - on that one cooler day there were remarkably fewer problems. Perhaps something specific to the infrastructure of the provider rather than under the control of the owners of the cottage.
