We had planned a weekend trip to the Thuringian Forest. Stützerbach near Ilmenau seemed like a good starting point for us. We were not disappointed. There was a friendly welcome with briefing on the local area and a few nice tips for excursions. The apartment was in excellent condition. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom had a rain shower (could be a bit hotter ;-)) The kitchen leaves nothing to be desired (oven, refrigerator with freezer, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster are there). The location is great for extensive hiking tours.

The location is excellent for outdoor activities, but what stood out most was the apartment's charm, It felt like a home away from home with a lovely living area and a well-stocked kitchen, We couldn't have asked for more!
