Close to the house the is a river where the spawning season is in May and June, and you can catch sea trout here. There is deer in the area and eagle can be seen from the house. There is also a dovecote on the property and some rabbits in a large cage. The sheltered waters here are perfect for fishing whatever the weather. Lyngna is one of Southern Norway's good salmon rivers that can be tested during the season. The Lyngdal region is closely linked to Egersund, and has a number of attractions for families. In Kvås, you will find the Southern Norwegian Salmon Centre, a salmon ladder in the mountain, where spectators can watch the salmon's way up the river. A fantastic experience for anyone who likes aquariums! Set aside a day for this special attraction, which is a short walk down from Gusa. Only rented out to families. It is not permitted to charge electric cars from the house.

Great holiday cottage built in a traditional "rorbu" style, with a south-facing and sheltered location. There is a dock right by the cottage and the good fishing spots are close by. The cottage has a maritime atmosphere, and a modern living room and kitchen section on both floors. The large windows allows you to look down on the fjord and dock. The single beds can be combined into double beds. The bedrooms on the 1st floor has a normal height in the middle and a slanting roof. The largest bathroom has a changing table for babies. There is floor heating in most rooms except in the bedrooms on the ground floor. There are several international channels and internet with a big capacity. There is a rougher, maritime style on ground floor, with large doors in a boat house style that are located outside of the insulated terrace door of glass. These doors open independently of the glass door. There is a 41 m² terrace outside with 2 tables and benches. Enjoy your meals outdoors on sunny days. There is another terrace on the other side of the cottage with a large room with a freezer, storing of fishing equipment and a fish cleaning table with running water and lighting. 10 metres from the house there is a small, private sandy beach where you can go swimming. In addition to the signed hiking trails 1 km away, you can go for walks along the heather hills nearby. Two identical boats are available for rent: 18 ft Sting 535 Pro with 40 hp Evinrude 4-stroke motors, Garmin Sonar Map 50 Series chartplotter/GPS/sonar, 4 rodholders and life jackets. The area has excellent fishing conditions all year round. Islands and protecting fjords shelters and ensure that fishing is possible on days with bad weather. 5 km to a lake with trout up to 1 kg. NB! Children should wear life jackets when on the terrace by the sea. The closes neighbour is unit 48764, 3 metres from the house. Halden is a summer town with tourist attractions such as a guest harbor, Fredriksten fortress and Northern Europe's highest locks. The area offers great hiking areas and varied nature experiences. It is also a short drive to Sweden with border trade and the town of Strømstad. 9 km away is a great climbing park: Climbing on the border. By boat or car, it is only a short drive to restaurants or other activities. A canoe for adults and a kayak for both adults and children is included. In addition, a rowing boat, SUP board and surfboard can be used. A boat with a motor can be rented. Fishing equipment can be rented directly from the owner. There are a trampoline and a football goal on the property as well as plenty of space for the children to play. Bed linen can be rented on site. The holiday home is not rented to youth groups.

In Leksvik center you will find shops, restaurants, etc.
