New fisherman’s cabin by the sea in Åna Sira, a small, idyllic community between Sokndal and Flekkefjord. Boat rental possible. The holiday house has two floors. On the ground floor there is a hallway, 1 bedroom, and an open kitchen/dining room as well as a bathroom/laundry room. The living room is on the first floor along with 2 additional bedrooms and a toilet room. All the bedrooms have one double bed. From the first floor, there is a great view over the sea. In Åna Sira, there are countless possibilities for activities and hikes within easy reach, e.g. Helleren with an old house under the mountains, or Jøssingham where the German warship Altmark was chased into the fjord during WW2 and British soldiers freed. The Science Museum in Jøssingham is definitely worth a visit. Great hiking opportunities to Brufjellhålene and Brufjell; please note that there can be challenges in getting there, so it is best in dry and calm weather. In the area, you can find as many as 28 different hiking trails, brochures are available in the cabin. We recommend a nice trip to "Roligheden", where you cross the bridge and turn right on the hill. There are several idyllic places there and also a small, cozy cafe called "Oldemors hage” (“great grandmothers garden"). Possible to rent an 18-foot boat with 50 HP and necessary equipment. The boat season runs from 1 May to 30 September. When gutting fish, please use the stone jetty. Guests can also borrow a kayak for free.
