With a beautiful panoramic view of Åstfjorden and the magnificent mountains from the 192 m² large terrace, you are all set for a wonderful holiday on the island of Hitra. The holiday house sits on a hilltop, 80 metres from the closest neighbour, and with two annexes. The double beds in the cottage and in the annex are 120 cm wide. The two single beds in the other annex can be combined into a double bed. The main cottage has a 48 inch TV with channels that covers most of Europe with Astra 1, including Skandinavia with Canal Digital. Fridge with 80 litre freezer and a separate freezer with 200 litres. Lights and heating in both annexes. This is a great starting point for excursions to most of Sør-Trøndelag. There is a small beach 400 metres away. The fjord by the cabin is one of the richest in fish in the entire area. This is a place where you come to relax, while being in a central location in regards to the many sights nearby. The oldest part of the holiday house has a lovely living room in a traditional style. The rest of the house was built later, with a newer living room. If you like older houses in a rural environment, this is the place for you. The charming yard consists of the main house, a traditional storehouse, small barn and garage. One of the bedrooms with a double bed, additionally has a double sofabed for extra bed space. 11 km to Valldalselva, a river with salmon and trout. You can also rent a motorboat in Valldal if you want to go fishing. Or you can fish from the wharf found 2,5 km away. 26 km to Tafjorden where you find an outdoor pool open from June to August. Another 2 km to the trout lake of Onilsvatnet. There is a sports centre in Valldal (11 km) with an indoor swimming pool, bowling, restaurant with dancing and pub.

This holiday house sits on the waterfront in Hyllestad municipality. Seen from the sea, the house is to the far right. Hyllestad can offer you rich nature experiences with wilderness, coast, valleys and mountains. The sea has excellent fishing conditions, especially during spring and autumn, but also the rest of the year. The cabin is suited for max 4 adults and 2 children up til 12 years old. You can actually sit on the veranda and put the fishing line in the water and wait for a bite. Both terraces are covered and from the ground floor you can enter the terrace from two of the bedrooms. The house is well equipped and all of ground floor has underfloor heating. Two of the bedrooms have 90 cm wide beds that can be combined. The third has a 150 cm wide bed. Go for mountain hikes with magnificent views of the sea. You can also bike along the old postal road that stretches 40 km between Leirvik and Dale, and has some impressive stone bridges. If you don't want to drive a boat yourself, call a taxi boat and take a trip to Lyngør, Norway's best-preserved little town, or Stangholmen just outside Risør town with concerts in the summer. At Sørlandet Feriesenter, 2.5 km away, there are several outdoor pools in the summer, a ball pit, a large jumping pillow as well as a mini golf course and a playground. Tennis courts at Hope a little further. We recommend a visit to the saltwater aquarium in Risør or the Maritime Museum in Gjeving (15 km), as well as “The Little Zoo” with tropical rainforest on Brokelandsheia, approx. 33 km away. At Nes Verk (29 km) there is a golf course and Ironworks Museum with tours of the Solberg Mine. In winter, there are several cross-country trails in the area, otherwise you can take a trip to Vegårshei Ski and Activity Center, only 33 km away.
