In Gjøvik, you find the old ferry Skibladner, called the white swan of Mjøsa, the largest lake in Norway. Approx. 21 km to Totenbadet, a large indoor swimming facility. The holiday home is located 112 km from Oslo city and 90 km from Oslo Airport.

Pleasant holiday home in the fishing village of Mefjordvær on Senja. With a view to the fjord, great hiking trails in a magnificent coastal landscape, and rich sea fishing. The house was built in 1924 and renovated in 2015. It consists of 4 bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. Great sun terrace with outdoor furniture and barbecue where you can enjoy your morning coffee and the fresh sea air out here by the ocean. There is also a cellar available with the possibility of storing fishing equipment and a fishing bench. The house is surrounded by one of Norway's most dramatic coastal landscapes, where high and wild mountains plunge into the sea. There is a hiking trail up to the small mountain Knuten, which is located by the fishing village. From here you can enjoy a magnificent view of the ocean beyond and the midnight sun that shines on beautiful spring and summer nights. In winter, the northern lights that dance in all colors in the sky are a wonderful experience. The place is also worth experiencing on stormy days, when the powerful waves hit the large breakwater that protects the marina and is an impressive sight. In the neighboring village of Ersfjorden, there is a beautiful sandy beach that invites you to a wonderful walk along the beach. Here is also the Djeveltindene mountain range, a magnificent mountain landscape that plunges into the sea. It is 4 km to the shop. Parking by the house. With its proximity to the ocean and rich fishing banks, Mefjordvær has been an active fishing village for many generations with many fishing boats in the marina. The fjord is rich in fish. In a sports fishing facility at Mefjordværbrygge, there is a boat rental, a 19-foot Kværnø with a 50 hp engine, echo sounder, chart plotter, GPS. Boats can be rented per day or per week if they are available. NB: Final cleaning can not be ordered, but will need to be carried out by the guests. The cabin is built in traditional Norwegian style and has a spacious terrace. Cozy living room with both a fireplace and a wood-burning stove and access to the terrace. Cable TV and internet. When conditions permit, there are ski slopes up to the Gravset ski stadium and the trail network there. Toboggan run for the children 300 meters from the cabin. Hemsedal ski center is one of the best ski center in Norway, run by Skistar with all associated offers. Countless summit tours available in the Hemsedal area. In the summer, you are only a few hundred meters from hole 4 on a great and challenging mountain golf course. The course accepts Greenfee guests and is rarely fully booked. Good hiking opportunities on both sides of the valley and a large selection of summit hikes and mountain hikes of varying difficulty only a short drive away. Other activity options in the Hemsedal area are fishing, horse riding, via ferrata, mountain biking, canoeing etc. There is a small water park for children of all ages at Tropicana on Gol approx. 15 minutes’ drive from the cabin. Stay in a grandmother house in the city center with a roof terrace with fantastic 360-degree view of the town and harbour. The holiday apartment has a small kitchen, living room and bathroom on the 1st floor, and three bedrooms and an extra toilet on the 2nd floor. One of the bedrooms is a walk-through room. Steep stairs to the roof terrace. Parking for a fee. Great starting point for experiencing all the events and festivals Risør has to offer, e.g. The wooden boat festival, the chamber music festival, and culture night. Many different shops, cafés, and restaurants as well as a cinema and a saltwater aquarium. Fresh bread and other baked goods can be bought from the bakery in the same street. We recommend at the Lighthouse in the neighborhood with various art exhibitions, and a trip to Urheia and the famous Risørflekken to enjoy the view of the archipelago. Bring swimwear and jump into the water at the beach on Holmen. The Øysang ferry, Norway's oldest wooden boat ferry, also brings cars, or you can enjoy the archipelago from one of the taxi boats. A trip to Jettegrytene outside the city is also recommended. Risør is not only a summer town, but well worth a visit in other seasons as well, e.g. at Christmas time. You might be lucky and experience a white Christmas in a white town! Visit Tvedestrand or one of the other southern towns. For the children, we recommend a trip to 'The Little Zoo’ at Brokelandsheia 22 km away.
